All electrical wiring must be properly installed, insulated and grounded. Overly accumulated
greasein old duct work should becleaned out or duct work should be replaced if necessaryto
avoid the possibility of a grease fire. Checkall ioints on duct work to insure proper connection
andall ioints should be properly taped.
Operations
Readall instructions in this manual before operating the appliance. Save these instructions for
future reference.
Always leave safety grills and filters in place.Without these components, operating blowers
could catch on to hair;fingers and looseclothing.
NEVERdisposecigarette ashes, ignitable substances,or any foreign obiects into blowers.
NEVERleavecooking unattended.When frying, oil in the pan can easilyoverheat andcatch fire.
The risk of self combustion is higher when the oil has been usedseveraltimes.
Cleaning
The saturation of greasy residue in the blower and filters may cause increased flammability.
Keepunit clean andfree of greaseand residue build-up at all times to prevent possiblefires.
Filters must be cleaned periodically and kept free from accumulation of cooking residue (see
cleaning instructions inside).Oldand worn filters must bereplaced immediately. Donot operate
blowers when filters are removed.Neverdisassembleparts toclean without properinstructions.

CLEANING
Surface Maintenance:
Creanperiodically with hot soapywater and creancotton cbth, Do notuse corrosive or abrasive
detergent (e.g. Cometpowder scrub, EasyOffoven cleaner),or steerwoof/scouring pads which will
scratch and damage surface.
For heaviersoil use riquid degreasersuch as 'Formura409' or 'Fantastic' brand creaner:
After creaning,you may use nonabrasive stainless steer porish/cleaners such as3M or ZEP,
to po%h and buff out the stainress luster andgrain. Arwaysscrub rightly,with creancotton cloth,
andwith the grain.
Stainless Steel Baffled Filters
Thestainless steel baffled filters fitted by the factory are intended to trap residueand grease from
cooking.Although the filters never need replacement, they are required to be kept clean. Filters
should be cleaned after every 30 hours of use.
Removing Baffled Filters
1. Pull filter toward back of range hoodusing handles.
2. Pivotfilter front upward.
3. Removedownwards to the rear.
