Einbau und Montage sind von einer Fachkraft für Elek-
trik und Feinmechanik vorzunehmen. Betriebsanleitung
des Maschinenherstellers sowie örtliche Sicherheitsvor-
schriften sind zu beachten. Der elektrische Anschluss
darf unter Spannung nicht verbunden oder getrennt wer-
den. Der Antrieb darf während der Montage nicht betrie-
ben werden. Sensor nicht öffnen, mechanisch oder elek-
trisch verändern. Der Sensor darf nur innerhalb der im
Datenblatt angegebenen Grenzwerte betrieben werden.
Eine Gefährdung von Personen, eine Beschädigung der
Anlage oder von Betriebseinrichtungen durch Ausfall
oder Fehlfunktion des Sensors muss durch geeignete
Sicherheitsmassnahmen ausgeschlossen werden. Die
Sensoren dienen der Erfassung von Positionen. Sie dür-
fen nur zu diesem Zweck verwendet werden.
Mounting and commissioning is to be conducted by
a specialist in electrical equipment and precision me-
chanics under compliance with local safety regulations.
Observe also the operating instructions of the machine
manufacturer and all safety precautions requested by
the respective national authorities. Never plug or unplug
the electrical connector while the device is live. The drive
must not be put into operation during installation. Do not
open and modify the sensor mechanically or electrical-
ly. Operate the sensor only within the operating range
specifi ed in the data sheet. Make sure that a failure or
malfunction of the sensor does not lead to injuries of
persons or damage of equipment by appropriate safety
measures. Intended purpose of the sensor is to detect
positions. They must only be used for the stated purpose.

Das Magnetband ist vor Abrieb und mechanischer Be-
schädigung und Splitterfl ug zu schützen. Es ist darauf
zu achten, das Magnetband nicht zu verdrehen, da es
sonst zu mechanischen Spannungen kommen kann.
Es ist empfohlen das Kabel des Sensorkopfes mit ei-
ner Zugentlastung zu versehen.
Protect magnetic tape from abrasion, mechanical
damage and fl ying fragments. The magnetic tape
must not be twisted to avoid inner mechanical ten-
sions. It is recommended to use a cable strain for the
sensor head.
Montage / Mounting
It is recommended to mount the magnetic tape in a chan-
nel in order to achieve better protection against dissolu-
tion. The depth of the channel should be according to the
height of the magnetic tape.
Befestigung in einer Nut / Fixation in a channel
Es wird empfohlen, das Magnetband in einer Nut zu be-
festigen, um einen besseren Schutz gegen Ablösen zu
erreichen. Die Tiefe der Nut sollte so gewählt sein, dass
das Magnetband komplett darin eingebettet ist.
