Theft Deterrent System
Engine immobilizer
This system only allows the engine to start if a reg-
istered key is used.
This deters theft caused by the use of unautho-
rized keys.
Alarm
Forcibly unlocking the doors, trunk, or hood with-
out the key or wireless remote control causes the
horn to blow and the exterior lights to flash, alert-
ing those in the surrounding area.
Steering lock
The steering wheel is locked when the ignition
switch is turned to OFF position.
This system is designed to help protect your vehicle from theft.
If the security indicator light is flashing when you leave the vehicle, the engine immobilizer
and alarm are set.
To stop the alarm, unlock the doors or trunk with the key or wireless remote control or turn
the ignition switch to the ON position.
