PREHEATING THE IRON

FILLING WATER TANK
1.Ensureironisintheoffposition.
2.Withirononflatsurfacewithsoleplatedown,openwater-fillcover
(A).
3.Tilttheironandusingacleanmeasuringcup,pourwaterinto
openedchamberuntilwaterreachestheMAXlevelmarkontheside
ofthewatertank.Donotoverfill.
4.Closethewater-fillcover.
5.Plugintheiron.Thepowerindicatorlightilluminates.

3-WAY AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF
Theautomaticshutofffeatureinyourironworksasfollows:
• Oncetheironreachesappropriatetemperature,itwillturnoffafter30secondsofinactivityiflefton
itssoleplateortippedover
onitsside.Ifleftverticallyonitsheelrest,itwillshutoffafter
8minutes(B).
• Thepowerindicatorlightstartsblinkingtoletyouknowthattheironhasstoppedheating.
• Assoonasyoupickuptheiron,itwillstartheatingagain.Waitforirontoreheatcompletelybefore
resumingoperation.
SELECTING FABRIC SETTING
1.Readfabriclabelstohelpdeterminefabrictypetobeironed.
Tip:Ifunsureoffabric’sfiber,testasmallarea(ontheinsideseamorhem)beforeironing.
Tip:Whenironingagarmentwithmixedfabrics,selectthefabricsettingforthemostdelicate
fabric.Forexample,whenironingashirtthatis65%cottonand35%polyester,usesettingfor
polyester.
2.Onceyoudeterminethefabrictype,turnthefabricselectdialatthefrontofthehandle
clockwisetoselecttheappropriatefabricsetting.
3.Wheneverthefabricsettingischangedtoahigherorlowersetting,allowtheirontostanda
minuteorsotoallowtheirontoheatuporcooldown.Testgarmentbypressingasmallhidden
areatomakesuresettingofironiscorrect.
Tip:Irongarmentsthatrequirelowersettingfirst,thenmoveontohighersetting.
