Mounting instructions
1. Remove bogie from snowmobile.
2. Remove upper shock absorber bolt, the bolts to the
shaft at lower fixing point and remove original
shock absorber.
3. Mount the Öhlins shock with cylinder head forward
(See figure on opposite page) Measure the original
shock absorbers fixing point. Choose a suitable 182-
spacer. Grease the bushing in cylinder head before
mounting. Fit supplied shaft into a torque stay and
one of the 182-spacers on the shaft, then fit Öhlins
shock absorber. Fit the other 182-spacer and torque
stay. Mount the bolts to the shaft.
4. Measure the original shock absorbers upper fixing
point. If necessary, change the 118-spacers in the
ball joint with the supplied 118-spacers. When
mounting the upper shock bolt, compress the shock
absorber slightly using a suitable tool.
5. Mount bogie to snowmobile.
6. Make sure that all bolts are tightened.
* Do not increase pre-load more than 11 mm from pre-
set position. i.e. maximum 43 mm spring pre-load.
1. Plocka ur boggin från snöskotern.
2. Demontera den övre stötdämparskruven, de båda
axelskruvarna vid nedre infästningen och plocka
bort originaldämparen.
3. Öhlin-dämparen monteras med cylinderhuvudet i
främre fästet. (Se skiss på baksidan). Mät
originaldämparens infästning. Välj en lämplig 182-
distans enligt tabellen ovan. Smörj bussningen i
cylinderhuvudet med fett före monteringen. Placera
axeln i ett av momentstagen, montera den ena 182-
distansen på axeln och därefter stötdämparen.
Montera den andra 182-distansen och det andra
momentstaget. Montera sedan de båda axelskruvarna
4. Kontrollera originaldämparens övre infästning. Byt
eventuellt ut de 118-distanser som sitter i kulleden,
mot de bipackade 118-distanserna. Montera
stötdämparen i övre fästet, det underlättas om
dämparen trycks ihop något med hjälp av ett brytjärn
eller liknande.
5. Återmontera boggit.
6. Se till att samtliga skruvar är åtdragna.
* Öka ej förspänningen mer än 11 mm från för-
inställningen. dvs max 43 mm fjäderförspänning
