the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. Inattention while operating equipment may result in serious
injury.
PERSONAL SAFETY
- 04 -
DO NOT overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the tool
in unexpected situations.
When using the device, be aware of your surroundings and avoid operating it near other people or
moving machinery.
Always use appropriate personal protective equipment while handling and using a Teslong
Inspection Camera. Drains and other areas may contain chemicals, bacteria, and other substances that
may be toxic, infectious, cause burns, or other issues. Appropriate personal protective equipment always
includes safety glasses and gloves, and may also include latex or rubber gloves, face shields, goggles,
protective clothing, respirators, and steel-toed footwear.
Practice good hygiene. Use hot, soapy water to wash hands and other body parts exposed to drain
contents after handling, or using a Teslong inspection camera to inspect drains and other areas that may
contain chemicals or bacteria.
If the device plugs into a wall socket ensure that the device is properly grounded and a circuit breaker or
fuse protects the power supply.
Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electrical shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
DO NOT expose equipment to rain or wet conditions while charging. Always dry off the device when
charging it to reduce the chance of an electric shock.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
- 05 -
Only use a manufacturer-recommended charger and power source. Using incompatible chargers
or power sources can damage the device and may cause electrical shock or fire.
If the device or charger shows signs of damage, such as frayed wires or cracked casing, do not use them
and contact the manufacturer for assistance.
DO NOT attempt to repair or modify the device or charger on your own, as this can be dangerous and
will void the warranty.
DO NOT expose the device or charger to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight, as this can cause
damage to the internal components and reduce their lifespan.
If you notice any unusual sounds, odors, or smoke coming from the device or charger, unplug them
immediately and contact the manufacturer for assistance.
DO NOT use the device or charger near flammable materials or gases, as this can cause fire or explosion.
Keep the device and charger away from children and pets, and store them in a dry, cool, and well-venti-
lated place when not in use.
If the device will not be used for an extended period, please charge the device at least once every 3
months to avoid the battery discharging completely and risking permanent damage.
The signal output (USB Port) connector is intended for connection of only devices complying with IEC
60601-1, or other IEC standards (for example, IEC 60950), as appropriate to the device.
This product complies with current required standards for electromagnetic interference and should not
present problems to other equipment or be affected by other devices.
- 06 -
- 07 -
Only use manufacturer-recommended chargers. Using incompatible chargers could damage the
device.
If the device begins to emit an unusual odor, heat up excessively, or show signs of swelling or
deformation, stop using it immediately and contact the manufacturer for assistance.
DO NOT attempt to disassemble or remove the battery in any way, as this can be dangerous and
may cause fire or explosion.
DO NOT put the device in a fire or increase the temperature of the device above the operational
limit. Do not leave the device in direct sunlight for extended periods. Damage to the battery can
occur.
If the device will not be used for an extended period, please charge the device at least once every
3 months to avoid the battery discharging completely and risking permanent damage.
BATTERY SAFETY
- 08 -
DO NOT use this device for personal inspection or medical use in any way. This is not a medical
device.
Unauthorized dismantling or modification of Teslong inspection cameras voids the warranty.
Before operating a Teslong inspection camera, read and understand the operator’s manual and
instructions for any other equipment used with this tool.
Only use this inspection camera within the approved operating temperature range.
Failure to follow all instructions and warnings may result in property damage and/or serious injury.
Maintain your equipment. Check for missing parts, breakage of parts, and any other conditions
that may affect the equipment’s operation. Do not continue to use the product if any irregularities
are found.
This unit is not shock resistant. Avoid dropping from heights or any type of impact.
Teslong devices are water resistant. Avoid submerging the monitor in water - small splashes or
light rain should be safe.
Teslong camera probes are IP67 rated and safe to use in dusty conditions and can be submerged
in 1-meter deep water for up to 30 minutes.
DO NOT use the unit in the presence of flammable substances or near electrical wiring.
DO NOT place the inspection camera probe anywhere that may contain moving parts. This
increases the risk of entanglement injuries.
EQUIPMENT USE AND CARE
- 09 -
If smoke or abnormal noise is detected, stop using it and turn off the inspection camera
immediately.
DO NOT place the inspection camera probe anywhere with a live electrical charge. This
increases the risk of electrical shock.
DO NOT look directly into the light at the end of the inspection probe. It is extremely bright and
could cause eye irritation.
Using the device for operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous
situation.
Use only manufacturer-recommended accessories for your equipment.
Keep handles dry and clean; free from oil and grease. Clean, dry handles allow for better control
of the equipment.
DO NOT over-torque, bend, twist, or fold the inspection probe. Doing so could damage the
articulation control wire assemblies and/or electrical wiring.
DO NOT yank or attempt to forcefully remove the inspection probe if it becomes stuck inside the
equipment being inspected.
When removing the inspection probe from the inspection area, ensure the bending section is
straight. Use the joystick/wheel to straighten the probe before attempting removal.
ARTICULATING PROBE SAFETY (only for devices with articulating probes)
- 10 -
Center the joystick/wheel after use to straighten the bending section before storage. The
inspection camera should always be stored with the bending section straight (do not force the
bending section with your fingers – always use the joystick to adjust and straighten the bending
angle.)
DO NOT impact the tip of the inspection probe while inserting or maneuvering inside the
inspection area.
Manipulate the articulating probe gently. Rapid movement of the joystick/wheel while
inspecting may cause an abrupt impact on the machinery and could result in damage to the
camera/LED module.
DO NOT force the joystick/wheel! If there is resistance to joystick/wheel movement while you are
conducting an inspection, it is due to resistance inside the inspection area. Forcing the
joystick/wheel in this situation could damage the articulation control wires, the joystick/wheel
assembly, or the equipment being inspected.
- 11 -
Always treat a firearm as if it is loaded, even if you believe it is not.
Always point the firearm in a safe direction, away from yourself and others.
Keep your finger off the trigger at all times.
Remove the magazine and open the chamber to visually confirm that the firearm is unloaded.
DO NOT rely solely on the firearm's safety mechanism to prevent accidental discharge.
Secure the firearm on a stable surface or in a vise to prevent it from moving during the inspection.
Your Teslong borescope should fit loosely in the firearm barrel. Do not force the borescope into
your barrel. If the borescope is a tight fit, then either the barrel is too small or obstructions in the
barrel are preventing it from being used safely.
Teslong borescopes are designed for the inspection of firearm bores and chambers and should
not be used for other uses.
After the inspection is complete, confirm that the firearm is still unloaded before handling it further.
FIREARM SAFETY (only for devices designed to inspect firearms)
- 12 -
Turn off and unplug the device before cleaning.
Clean the camera lens before and after each use with a soft microfiber cloth and a cotton swab to
get the best image quality from your inspection camera.
For stubborn stains, use warm water or rubbing alcohol. DO NOT use stronger solvents.
The screen and monitor can be rid of dust and fingerprints by using a microfiber cloth and warm
water or rubbing alcohol.
Never use abrasive cleaners, chemicals, or solvents as they can damage the device's surface or
internal components.
Avoid getting moisture in any openings or ports of the device.
Allow the device to fully dry before plugging it in or using it.
EQUIPMENT CLEANING
- 13 -
Store the device in its plastic case when not in use.
Store idle equipment out of the reach of children and DO NOT allow persons unfamiliar with the
equipment or these instructions to operate the equipment.
Make sure the power is turned off before putting the device into the carrying case.
When coiling a flexible Teslong camera probe, DO NOT bend the probe into too tight of a radius.
Coil the probe gently. If you experience any resistance, then the probe is being coiled too tightly. A
good rule of thumb is to not coil it any tighter than it was sent in its original packaging.
Store the device in a dry, cool, well-ventilated area.
Keep the device out of direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humid environments.
Store the device away from sharp objects, heavy items, or anything that could cause damage to it.
Avoid storing the device near magnets or devices that generate strong magnetic fields.
If storing the device for an extended period, ensure it is fully charged and turned off completely.
