IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the instruction manual thoroughly and keep it for future reference. If the blanket is passed on to a third
party, please hand over these instructions as well.
Ensure you understand how this electrical blanket works en how to use it before you start using it.
Maintain the under blanket in accordance with the instruction manual.
Only use as UNDER BLANKET – Do NOT use as a duvet.
Do not tuck the blanket in.
The blanket must be placed on a relatively rm and non-adjustable mattress.
Do not use on a waterbed or a mechanically adjustable bed or sofa bed.
Do not use when folded.
Do not insert pins into the blanket.
Do not use if it is damp or wet.
Do not use if damaged in any way.
Ensure that the blanket is securely xed to the mattress.
Only use the controller/s supplied with the blanket (model: KDA6-FT).
This blanket is not intended for medical use in hospitals.
Check that the controller/s and mains lead cannot become trapped in the bed or bedding.
Keep the controller/s outside of the bed at the pillow end and ensure it does not get covered – keep it in the
open so you can easily control the blanket.
Do not dry clean.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not use together with another heating appliance.
This under blanket is not intended for use by children or inrm persons without supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a responsible person.
Ensure that the person using the blanket is not insensitive to heat.
FITTING THE BLANKET
This blanket is intended to be used as an “UNDER BLANKET” and therefore should always be placed on a
relatively rm and non-adjustable mattress.
To help keeping the blanket clean and reducing wear, place the blanket under a bed sheet. Do not place it
under another blanket, mattress protector or similar product as these will greatly restrict the heat output.
The blanket must be xed securely to the mattress using the tie loops on the blanket. The cord must be
threaded through the loops and passed under the mattress, nally being tied in a knot (a tight bow should
sufce so that it is easily undone to enable the blanket to be removed). Ensure, when xing the blanket to the
mattress, that it will not move or crease.
The controller/s should be positioned at the top of the bed (pillow end) for optimal ease of use.

Plug in the mains supply and ensure the mains switch is in the “ON” position.
Switch the controller to the “ON” position and the power indicator should come on. Push the temperature key
until 5 LEDs are lit (maximum heat). It takes at least 30 minutes to get to maximum heat. Once it has reached
maximum heat you can change the heat level by pushing the temperature key. The guide below gives you an
indication of the heat levels and what the number of lit LEDs mean in terms of the level of heat. To prevent
the blanket from getting too hot, the heat level will automatically reduce to a lower heat level after being on
maximum heat for one hour.

The controller has a timer function (center button), which allows you to control how long you want the blanket
to be left on. You can program it for max. 8 hours in 1-hour steps. The amount of time in “time mode” will be
accumulated by the number of times you push the timer key on the controller. For example, when you push
the timer key 3 times the blanket will remain on for 3 hours. If you want to cancel the timer, push the cancel
key (bottom key) and all settings will be deleted. To resume, you will have to input the settings using the
timer key again.
If the indicator LEDs start ashing, please press the cancel key to reset the blanket. Change the settings
again to the desired ones. If you can not stop the ashing of the LEDs please unplug the blanket from the
wall outlet and check for damages. If you do not nd any damage reconnect the blanket, if the LEDs are still
ashing stop using the blanket and have it checked by a qualied repairer.
