PureWindmaximisesaircirculation,improvingtheefficiencyof
theevaporatorandhelpingtoachievetheoptimaltemperature
insidetherefrigeratorasquicklyaspossibleeachtimeithas
beenopened.Theblownair(A)iscooledwhenitcomesinto
contactwiththecoldwall,whereasthehotterair(B)issucked
up (see diagram).
Static
ModelswithouttheAircoolerhavethecoolingsectionin
theinternalbackwallofthecompartments.Thewallwillbe
coveredinfrostorwaterdropletsdependingonwhetherthe
compressorisoperatingorpaused:bothcasesarenormal.If
theTEMPERATUREADJUSTMENTknobhasbeensetonhigh
valueswithlargequantitiesoffoodandwithahighambient
temperature,theappliancecanoperatecontinuously,resulting
inexcessivefrostformationandexcessiveenergyconsumption:
compensateforthisbyshiftingtheknobtowardslowervalues
(defrostingwilloccurautomatically).
Instaticappliances,theaircirculatesinanaturalway:the
colderairtendstomovedownwardsasitisheavier.Thefood

• Placeonlycoldorlukewarmfoodsinthecompartment,not
hotfoods(see Precautions and tips).
• Rememberthatcookedfoodsdonotlastlongerthanraw
foods.
• Donotstoreliquidsinopencontainers.Theywillincrease
humidityintherefrigeratorandcausecondensationtoform.
Food hygiene
1. Onceyouhaveboughtyourfood,removeallexternal
packagingmadeofpaper/cardboardorotherwrappers,
whichcouldintroducebacteriaordirtinsideyour
refrigerator.
2. Protectthefood,(especiallyeasilyperishableitemsand
thosethathaveastrongsmell),inordertoavoidcontact
betweenthem,therebyremovingboththepossibilityof
germ/bacteriacontaminationaswellasthediffusionof
strongodoursinsidethefridge.
3. Storeallfoodinsuchawayastoensureaircancirculate
freelybetweendifferentitems.
4. Keeptheinsideofyourfridgeclean,takingcarenottouse
oxidiserorabrasiveproducts.
5. Removeallfoodpastitsexpirydatefromtherefrigerator.
6. Forthecorrectpreservationoffood,alleasilyperishable
items(softcheeses,rawfish,meat,etc.)shouldbestoredin
thecoldestzoneofthefridgecompartment,i.e.justabove
thesaladcrisperwherethetemperatureindicatorissituated.
Maintenance and care
Switching the appliance off
Duringcleaningandmaintenanceitisnecessarytodisconnect
theappliancefromtheelectricitysupply.
Itisnotsufficienttosetthetemperatureadjustmentknobson
(appliance off) to eliminate all electrical contact.
Cleaning the appliance
• Theexternalandinternalparts,aswellastherubberseals
maybecleanedusingaspongethathasbeensoakedin
lukewarmwaterandbicarbonateofsodaorneutralsoap.Do
notusesolvents,abrasiveproducts,bleachorammonia.
• Theremovableaccessoriesmaybesoakedinwarmwater
andsoapordishwashingliquid.Rinseanddrythem
carefully.
Avoiding mould and unpleasant odours
• Theapplianceismanufacturedwithhygienicmaterialswhich
areodourfree.Inordertomaintainanodourfreerefrigerator
andtopreventtheformationofstains,foodmustalwaysbe
coveredorsealedproperly.
• Ifyouwanttoswitchtheapplianceoffforanextended
periodoftime,cleantheinsideandleavethedoorsopen.

Donotspeedupthedefrostingprocessbyusinganydevices
ortoolsotherthanthescraperprovided,youmaydamagethe
refrigerationcircuit.
