The DYNASHIELD DS1000 Mosquito Repellent is a device that helps to keep mosquitoes away. It is safe for use around children and pets when used as directed. The device is easy to use. Simply insert two AA batteries and a repellent pad into the device and turn it on. The device will then emit a pleasant summer scent that mosquitoes find repellent. The repellent pad should be replaced every six hours for optimal operation.

FCC COMPLIANCE

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1)

This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received,

including interference that may cause undesired operation. CAUTION: Changes or modiﬁcations not approved

by the party responsible for compliance could void user’s authority to operate the equipment. Note: This

equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part

15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interfer-

ence in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy

and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio

communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If

this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by

turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of

the following measures:

• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.

• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Turn the unit upside down and remove the battery cover.

Install two new AA batteries in the battery compartment in the correct orientation, noting the polarity of the

batteries.

3. Open the foil wrapper containing the new repellent pad. Using the wrapper to hold the repellent pad,

insert the repellent pad into the repellent holder inside the device.

4. Replace the battery cover.

5. To turn the device on, place the unit upright and press the power button. The LED inside the device will

illuminate to indicate that the device is operational.

To turn the device off, press the power button. The LED will turn off to indicate that the device is off.

Problem: Possible cause: Correction:

LED does not illuminate

and fan does not spin.

1. Installed AA batteries are depleted.

2. AA batteries are installed incorrectly.

orientation, noting the polarity of the batteries.

Fan does not rotate. Fan blades are obstructed or blocked

by debris.

with a vacuum or blower.

Repellent pad scent is no

longer present.

Installed repellent pad is depleted. 1. Install a new repellent pad in the device every 6

hours for optimal operation.

and workmanship. This warranty is limited to remedy any defective part for a period of one year from date of

original date of purchase. Retain your original receipt as proof of purchase. This warranty does not apply to the light

bulb, nor to, in our judgment, misuse or abuse. If this unit has been altered, no warranty is in force. This warranty

does not apply if this unit is purchased outside the United States, excluding Canada and Mexico. In no case shall

Woodstream be liable for any accidental, punitive, consequential, or any other damages of any kind for breach of

this or any other warranty, expressed or implied, whatsoever. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an

implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you speciﬁc

legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

HOW THE DYNASHIELD™ WORKS

BATTERY AND REPELLENT PAD REPLACEMENT

After 6 hours of operation, the repellent pad should be replaced to ensure optimal device operation.

a. Turn the device upside down and remove the battery cover.

b. Remove the installed repellent pad and discard.

c. Open the foil wrapper containing the new repellent pad. Using the wrapper to hold the repellent

pad, insert the repellent pad into the repellent holder inside the device.

d. Replace the battery cover.

If the LED no longer illuminates when the power button is pressed, the batteries are depleted and need to be

replaced.

a. Turn the device upside down and remove the battery cover.

b. Remove the installed batteries and discard in accordance with local regulations.

c. Install two new AA batteries in the battery compartment in the correct orientation, noting the

polarity of the batteries.

d. Replace the battery cover.

PRECAUTIONARY STATEMENTS:

Wash face, hands and any exposed skin thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke when using this

product. Wear protective gloves. Avoid breathing vapors. Contaminated work clothing must not be allowed out

of the workplace. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

cause an allergic skin reaction. May cause respira-

tory irritation. May be fatal if swallowed and enters

airways.

STORAGE & DISPOSAL:

STORAGE: Store locked up. Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed.Store only in

original container in a dry place inaccessible to children and pets.

DISPOSAL: If Empty: Non-reﬁllable container. Do not reuse or reﬁll this container. Dispose of

contents/container to an approved waste disposal plant.

If Partly Filled: Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an

approved waste disposal facility. Never place unused product down any indoor or outdoor drain.
