propercare.Toensureyearsofreliableservice,keepthese

• Donotexceedthescale’smaximumcapacity.

Overloadingyourscalecanpermanentlydamageit!

• Avoidexposuretoextremeheatorcold.Scales

performbestatnormalroomtemperature.If

temperatureshavechangeddramatically,calibration

adjustmentmaybenecessary.

• Allowyourscaletowarmupfor30-60secondsbefore

performingcalibration(ifavailable).

• Storeyourscaleinaclean,drylocation.Dust,dirt,

andmoisturecanaccumulateontheweighing

sensorsandelectronicscausinginaccuracyor

malfunction.

• Avoidusingyourscaleincloseproximitytostrong

1. Placethescaleonaat,levelsurfaceandpressthe

ON/OFFkeytoturnthescaleon.

2. Oncethestart-upprocesscompletesandthescale

goestozero,youarereadytoweigh.

3. Placethequantitytobeweighedontotheweighing

platform.

4. Waitacouplesecondsforthedisplaytostabilize

beforetakingaweightreading.

V. Changing the Unit of Measure

1. PresstheMODEkeytochangethescale’s

displayedunitofmeasure.

2. Ifthescaleisturnedoff,thenbackon,itwilldefault

tothelastunitused.

VI. Using the Tare Feature

Youcanusethisscale’starefeaturetosubtracttheweight

ofanemptycontainerorvesselfornetweightdetermination.

NOTE:Theweightofthecontainerwillsubtractfromthe

availablecapacity.

1. Placetheemptycontainerorvesselontheweighing

platform.

2. PresstheTAREkeyonce.Thedisplaywillthen

resettozero.Ifthecontainerisremoved,it’sweight

willbedisplayedasanegativenumber.

3. Youmaynowllthecontainerwiththequantityto

beweighed.Thedisplaywillshowthenetweightof

thecontents.

4. Toreturntonormalweightdisplay(grossweight),

removeanyitemsfromtheweighingplatformand

pressthe TAREkeyagaintore-zerothescale.

VII. Using the Counting Feature

1. PresstheON/OFFkeytoturnthescaleon.

2. Placeasamplequantityoftheitemsbeingweighed

ontheplatform.Thisquantityshouldeitherbe25,

50,75,or100pieces.

3. Oncetheweightisstable,pressandholdthePCS

keytoentercountingmodesetup.

4. Thecurrentsamplesizewillbedisplayedonthe

bottomrightoftheLCD.

5. PresstheMODEkeytochangeitbetween25,50,

75,or100andpressPCStoconrm.Thecount

willbedisplayedonthebottomrightoftheLCD.

Youmaynowaddmoreitems.Asitemsareremove

itemsandthecountwillupdateautomatically.

VIII. Calibration

Calibrationandadjustmentareperformedatthefactory.

However,theweighingrangecanshiftslightlyduring

shipping.Also,duetochangesinlocalaccelerationofgravity

aroundtheworld,adjustmentisrecommendedwhenmoving

thescalefromonelocationtoanother.Tocheckcalibration:

1. Placetherequiredcalibrationweightonthescale

andnotethedisplayedvalue.

2. Ifthedisplayedvalueisnotwithinacceptable

tolerance(seechartonnextpage),adjustmentis

required.

IX. Calibration Adjustment

1. PresstheON/OFFkeytoturnthescaleon.

2. PressandholdtheMODEkeyforthreeseconds

untilthedisplayshows“CAL”thenrelease.

3. PresstheMODEkeyagain,andtheLCDwillash

therstcalibrationweight.Placetherequiredweight

onthemiddleoftheplatform

4. TheLCDwillashthenashthesecondrequired

calibrationweight.Placetherequiredcalibration

weightonthemiddleoftheplatform.Skipthisstep

formodelACP-500.

5. TheLCDwilldisplay“PASS”andreturntonormal

weighingmode.Calibrationiscomplete!

• Solution: Checkthebattery

• Problem: Displayedweightuctuatesrandomly

• Solution: Makesureyourworkspaceisstableand

freeofanyaircurrentsorvibration

XI. Error Codes

1. OUTZ-Zerorangehasshifted.Performcalibration

adjustment.Iftheproblempersists,theloadcellmay

bepermanentlydamagedduetooverloading.

2. O-LD-Maximumcapacityexceeded.Removethe

extraweighttoavoiddamagingtheloadcell.

3. LO -Batteriesarelow.Replacethebatteries.

4. UNSE -Thescaleisunstable.Usethescaleina

morestableposition.
