Precautions and general recommendations

To ensure best use of your Island, please read all the instructions

carefully and keep them for future reference.

• Keep all packaging materials (plastic bags, polyurethane foam, etc.)

out of the reach of children, as they are potentially dangerous.

• Check that the product has not been damaged during transit and

remove any protective film from the product components.

Packaging

The packaging material is 100% recyclable and is marked with the

symbol which indicates it should be disposed of at the nearest waste

recycling centre.

• INSTALLATION:

The island must be installed exclusively by qualified technicians.

The electrical appliances must also be installed by qualified

technicians, who must follow the instructions provided in each

appliance installation manual.

• USE AND MAINTENANCE OF ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES:

Clients must observe the user instructions for each individual

electrical appliance.

General cleaning of the stainless steel surfaces

• All the stainless steel panels of drawers and electrical appliances have

a special “easy clean inox” surface treatment which minimizes the

appearance of marks and facilitates cleaning.

• The island's two side panels and worktop, meanwhile, are made of

AISI 304 “austenitic” stainless steel, one of the best available on the

market.

To keep your Island in pristine condition, always clean it after use,

taking care to remove any food residues.

Follow the instructions provided in the electrical appliance manuals.

Before cleaning, wait until the surfaces are cool and disconnect from the

power supply.

Cleaning the Island's stainless steel surfaces

• Wash the Island's stainless surface with warm water and/or neutral

detergent, rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth or chamois

leather.

• The stainless steel surface may be left marked or corroded in the event

of prolonged exposure to very harsh cleaning products; detergents

containing chlorine and/or its compounds, ammonia and acidic

detergents can cause irreparable damage the stainless steel surfaces.

Before any use, always read the cleaning product label carefully to

check it is entirely suitable for use.

• Avoid prolonged contact with acidic or alkaline substances such as

vinegar, mustard, salt, sugar or lemon juice.

• Always clean up any spills immediately (water, sauce, coffee, etc.).

• Do not use abrasive products or scourers. Take care not to “drag” pans

or utensils across the surfaces as these could scratch the stainless steel.

• Do not use steam cleaners.

• Do not use flammable products.

• We recommend using the KitchenPRO detergent KIT specifically

formulated for stainless steel together with the special microfibre

cloth, code KIN251 CODE 4840 000 00682

• Alternatively, you can purchase the detergent only, code KIN250

CODE 4840 000 00650

• To purchase the detergents, contact your nearest KitchenAid service

centre.

NOTE: to request assistance for electric appliances, follow the

specific instructions provided in the instructions booklet and

warranty of each individual appliance.

Technical service for the Island

If necessary, both the side and front panels and the worktop can be

replaced if significantly damaged.

Contact one of the authorized technical service centres indicated on the

warranty.

Before contacting the service centre, make sure you are able to provide

the following information:

• Type of problem encountered or part to be replaced.

• Commercial Code of the Island given in the documentation and on the

plate located on the right hand side of the drawer.

• Your full address and telephone number.

(4) In initial inspection, the home appliances operate correctly.

(5) This document approves the correct installation of the island and its steel units. All guarantees provided by law and

guarantees of each individual appliance installed remain valid.
