are part of this product. They contain important information about
safety, usage, and disposal. Before using the product, please
familiarize yourself with all operating and safety instructions.
Use the product only as described and for the specified range of
applications. Please also pass these operating instructions on to
any future owner.
Warning types
The following warning types are used in these operating instruc-
tions:
This is the safety alert symbol. It is used to alert you to
potential injury hazards. Obey all safety messages that
follow this symbol to avoid possible injury and death.
DANGER indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided,
will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided,
could result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided,
could result in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE indicates information that is considered important, but
not hazardous (e.g. messages related to property damage).

Safety instructions
This section contains important safety instructions for using the appliance.
This appliance complies with statutory safety regulations. Improper use may
result in personal injury and property damage.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, especially when children are
present, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:

KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
DANGER – As with most electrical appliances, electrical parts
are electrically live even when they are turned off:
1. To protect against risk of electrical shock do not immerse
motor body, cord or electrical plug of this hand blender in
water or other liquid.
2. Unplug the appliance from outlet when not in use, before
putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
3. Remove the plug from the outlet in event of operating
malfunctions.
4. Avoid contact with moving parts.
5. Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter.
6. Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces, including the stove.
7. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other
utensils away from beaters during operation to reduce the
risk of injury to persons or damage to the mixer.
8. Remove beaters from mixer before cleaning.
9. To disconnect the power cord, always pull the plug from
the outlet; do not pull the power cord itself.

10. Ensure that the power cord does not become wet or damp
during use. Route the cord in such a way that it cannot be
crushed or damaged.
11. If the appliance, the power cord or the plug are damaged,
arrange for them to be repaired by Customer Services to
avoid the risk of injury.
12. Do not use the appliance outdoors or operate where aerosol
(spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being
administered.
13.
Never touch the appliance, the power cord or the plug with
wet hands.
14. Do not kink or crush the power cord, and route the cord so
that it cannot be stepped on or tripped over.
15. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not wrap the
power cord around the appliance, and protect it from being
damaged.
16. An appliance should never be left unattended when
plugged in.
17. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been
dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance
to a service center for examination and repair.
18.
Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used
by, on, or near children or individuals with certain disabilities.
19. Do not open the housing or attempt to repair the appliance
yourself. This can lead to risks and also invalidates the
warranty. Defective appliances should be repaired by
authorized specialists only.

20. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water.
Unplug it immediately.
21. Use this appliance only for its intended purpose as described
in this manual. The use of attachments not recommended or
sold by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or

This appliance is not intended to be used by people with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised
and have been instructed in how to use the appliance safely
and have understood the potential risks.
This appliance may not be used by children.
Do not allow children to play with the appliance.
The appliance and its connecting cord must be kept away
from children.
The appliance should always be disconnected from the power
supply when unattended and before assembly, disassembly,
or cleaning.
Never touch the whisks or kneading hooks when the appliance
is in use. Do not dangle long hair, scarves or the like over the
mixing attachments.

Never attempt to fit attachments with differing functions at the
same time.
Unplug the appliance after every use and before cleaning to
prevent it from accidentally turning on.
Always unplug the appliance before changing the accessories
to prevent it from accidentally turning on.
Turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the power supply
before changing accessories or additional parts that move
during operation.
Do not touch moving parts of the appliance; always wait for
them to come to a complete stop. Risk of injury!
Always check the appliance and all parts for signs of visible
damage before use. Safety can only be ensured if the appli-
ance is in flawless condition.
Never use the appliance if parts are damaged, defective or
missing. Doing so will increase the risk of accidents.
This hand mixer is a multipurpose appliance, whereby the hook
creates maximum rating. Other recommended attachments my
draw significantly less power.
Do not use the appliance outdoors. The appliance is intended
exclusively for domestic use indoors.
Have all repairs carried out by trained personnel. If required,
contact our service partner responsible for your country.

Important cord information
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, there is only one way
this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet. If the plug does
not completely fit into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does
not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify
the plug in any way.
A short power supply cord (or detachable power supply cord)
should be used to reduce the risk resulting from becoming
entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord.
Longer detachable power supply cords or extensions cords
may be used if they are used carefully.
If a longer detachable power supply cord or extension cord is
used:
1)
The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord
should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appli-
ance;
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the
countertop or table where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over unintentionally; and
3) If the appliance has a grounded plug, the cord set or extension
cord should also be a grounded 3-wire cord.

Intended use
This appliance is intended exclusively for mixing and kneading
dough, stirring liquids (e.g. fruit juices) and whipping cream. It
is only suitable for processing food. This appliance is intended
solely for use in private households. Do not use it for commercial
purposes.

Operating instructions
1) Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating instruc-
tions from the box.
2) Remove all packaging material.
RISK OF SUFFOCATION! Packaging materials
should not be used as a toy. There is a risk of suffocation.
3) Clean all parts of the appliance as described in the section
entitled "Cleaning".
Check the package for completeness and for signs of visible
damage.
If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a result
of defective packaging or during transport, contact the customer
service hotline (see 3 year limited warranty section).

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during
transport. The packaging materials have been selected for their
environmental friendliness and ease of disposal, and are therefore
recyclable.
Recycling conserves raw materials and reduces the amount of
waste generated. Dispose of packaging materials that are no
longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
If possible, keep the appliance’s original packaging during the
warranty period so that the appliance can be packed properly
for return shipment in the event of a warranty claim.

Short time duty indicates how long an appliance can be operated
without the motor overheating and sustaining damage. After the
appliance has been operated for this duration of time, turn it off
until the motor has cooled down.

This button allows you to switch the appliance to full power
immediately.

Operation
Kneading and whisking
RISK OF INJURY!
Never use containers made from glass or other easily breakable
materials. These containers may get damaged and cause injuries.
PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not operate the mixer continuously for longer than 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, take a break to allow the appliance to cool
down.
1) Choose the appropriate attachment:
Whisk 7
for whipping cream and
mixing light dough/batter
Kneading hook 8
for kneading thicker dough
2) Push the whisks 7 or the kneading hooks 8 into the slots 6
until they click audibly into place and sit firmly.
Always insert the kneading hook 8 or the
whisk 7 without the ring into the intended
slot on the appliance (labeled with an icon).

3) Insert the power plug 4 into a power socket.

4) To start operating the appliance, move the speed switch 2 to
the desired speed setting. You can select between 5 speed
settings and also use the Turbo button 3 (see section on
"Speed levels").
5) Press the tool-release button 1 to release the whisks 7 or the
kneading hooks 8.
For safety reasons, the whisks 7 and kneading hooks 8 can
only be released if the speed switch 2 is set to the position "0".
Cleaning
RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Always remove the plug 4 from the power socket before cleaning
the appliance! There is a risk of electric shock!
Never immerse the hand set 5 in water or other liquids!
Clean the hand set 5 containing the motor only with a damp
cloth and, if necessary, with a mild detergent.
The whisks 7 and the kneading hooks 8 can be cleaned
under running water or in warm water with detergent. Dry all
parts thoroughly after cleaning.
We recommend cleaning the attachments directly after use.
This removes food residue and reduces the risk of bacterial
contamination.
The whisks 7 and the kneading hooks 8 can also be cleaned in
the dishwasher.

Storage
Store the cleaned appliance in a clean, dust-free, and dry
location.
Disposal
Electrical appliances may not be thrown away as part of normal
household trash. If you can no longer use your electrical appliance,
dispose of it in accordance with the legal provisions applicable in
your state. This will ensure that old electrical devices are recycled
and environmental pollution is kept to a minimum. Additional
information about disposal is available on the Internet at
www.epa.gov.

3 year limited warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to follow
the safety and maintenance instructions provided in the user
manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts
(such as switches, glass, etc.);
Improper use or transport;
Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.);
Tampering with the product (such as removing cover, unscrewing
screws etc.)
Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered under
this warranty. However, some states do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation
or exclusion may not apply to you.
What is the period of coverage and warranty resolution?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase.
At our discretion, product will either be refunded or replaced.
What will we not do?
We will not:
Start a new warranty period upon product exchange;
Repair product.

do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so
the above limitation may not apply to you.
