Usingtheendttingofthefaucetinlettube(1),locateapositionunder-

neaththesinkonacabinetwalltoinstalltheElectronicProportioning

Valve(EPV)(2).The location must allow the faucet tube (1) to con-

nect to the EPV outlet (3). Be sure to allow at least 2" spacing

between batteries and surrounding objects (stop ﬁttings, drain

lines, etc.). Also check to ensure water supply hook-up hoses will

reach the selected location. UsingtheEPVmoduleasaguide,mark

thelocationforthe2screwholes.Ifscrewingdirectlyintoawallstud,

drill3/32"(2.38mm)holeswheremarked.Ifusingtheprovidedscrew-in

anchors(4),drill1/4"(6.35mm)holes.Forsleevetypeanchors(5),drill

3/16"(4.76mm)holes.Ifinstallinganchors,pushinuntilushwithwalls.

EPV Module Installation

Installscrews(6)leavingapproximately1/4"ofthescrewshank

exposed.SlideEPVmodulescrewholes(7)overinstalledscrews(6),

thenpullmoduledowntolockinposition.Do not tighten the screws.

Pushhoseend(1)ontotheEPVoutlet(3).Attachclip(4)overhose

fittingsasshown.Pullmoderatelytoensureconnectionhasbeenmade.

Adjusting the Temperature Limit

IMPORTANT: TheTemperatureLimitisusedtolimittheamountofhotwateravailable

suchthat,ifsetproperly,theuserwillnotbescaldedifthehandleaccidentallyis

rotatedallthewayto“hot”.

• ThecounterclockwisepositionallowstheLEASTamountofhotwatertomixwith

thecoldwaterinthesystem.Inthisposition,whenthedialisturnedallthewayto

hot,thewaterwillbethecoolestpossible(approximately105ºF).

• AsyoumovetheTemperatureLimitclockwise,progressivelymoreandmorehot

waterisinthemixwhenthedialisturnedallthewaytohot.

• Thefullclockwisepositionwillresultinthegreatestamountofhotwatertothemix,

andthegreatestriskofscaldinjuryifsomeoneaccidentallyturnsthehandleallthe

waytothehotside.

counterclockwisetodecreasevalveoutletwatertemperaturetomeetthere-

quirementsofyourlocalplumbingcodes.

Note: If water does not get hot, check to ensure hot inlet of the EPV is

connected to the hot water supply and hot water is available.

• Toadjustthetemperatureofthewatercomingoutofthevalve,removethecap

(1)toaccesstheTemperatureLimit(2)andreadjustthepositiontothedesired

temperature.Note: Cap (1) may be used as an aid in adjusting the

temperature. Clockwisewillincreasetheoutlettemperature,counterclockwise

willdecreasetheoutlettemperature.Replacecap.

Note: Full clockwise will limit water temperature to no more than 120º F.

Temperature Control

• Ifthehandle(1)isinthe“Off”position,rotateittoinitiateow.Thisinitialowwill

becoldwaterandtheindicatinglight(2)willbeblue.

• Continuerotatingthehandleandthevolumeofcoldwaterwillincreaseintwo

incrementsasthefullcoldowrateisreached.

• Oncefullcoldowrateisreached;continuetorotatethehandletoincreasethe

temperaturesettingforthewater.Initialtemperaturesettingpastfullowcold

isapproximately80degreesF.Dependingonrecentuseandotherfactors;it

maytakesometimeforhotwatertoreachthefaucetandforthewatertoreach

thedesiredtemperature.Theindicatinglightwillchangecolorasthewater

temperatureincreases.

• Whenthehandleisinthehorizontalpositionthefaucetisadjustedtodeliverhot

water.Dependingonrecentuseandotherfactors;itmaytakesometimeforhot

watertoreachthefaucet.Theindicatinglightwillberedwhenatemperatureof

Touch Control

wateroffafter60seconds.Ifhotwaterdidnotreachthefaucetintheinitialsixty

seconds;thetimeoutisextendeduptoanadditional60secondsoruntilhotwater

isavailableandthetemperaturesetpointhasbeenreached;whicheverissoonest.

Proximity Control

• Ifthewaterisnotowing,andthehandleisanywhereexceptthe“Off”position,plac-

ingyourhandswithinthreeinchesofthespoutwillinitiatewaterow.

• Typicallythewaterwillcontinuetoflowaslongashandsarekeptmovingwithin

thestreamofwateratadistanceofthreetosixinchesfromthespouttip.This

distancetocontinueflowmayvarybasedonsinktypeandotherfactors.At60

secondsthetimeoutfeaturestopsProximityflow;anditwillbenecessaryto

moveatleastsixinchesfromthespoutbeforerestartingtheflowofwater.

• IfProximitywasusedtoturnthewateron,movingyourhandsatleastsixinches

fromthespoutwillstopProximityowinafewseconds.

Rotate handle fully clockwise to the “Off” position.

In the “Off” position water should not ﬂow. This is a convenient setting

when cleaning the faucet.

Slowly rotate handle counter-clockwise until water just begins to ﬂow.

Water ﬂow always starts with cold, which is indicated by blue

illumination of the temperature indicator.

Continue to slowly rotate the handle counter-clockwise.

 Didtheowappeartoincrease?

There are three steps of increasing cold ﬂow as the handle is rotated

past the “Off” position. The LED indicator increases in brightness with

each step.

Full counter-clockwise will ﬂow water at the highest available

temperature. This may be limited by the EPV temperature control

setting or by the available temperature of the water reaching the faucet,

whichever is less.

The temperature indicator will be red when the water reaches

approximately 110º F.

Grasp handle and rotate the counter-clockwise to mid-point between “H” and “C”.

A certain amount of change in ﬂow is normal as the EPV mixes

varying amounts of hot and cold water to achieve the

desired temperature.

 Istemperatureindicatorilluminated?Whatcolor?

At the lowest warm setting (just past cold) the water will be

approximately 80º F and the temperature indicator will be magenta.

Touchfaucet,doeswaterowstop?

It is normal for a small amount of cold water will pass through the spout

before the water stops ﬂowing.

 Movehandsatleast6inchesfromfaucet.Doeswaterowstop?

It may take up to four seconds for the ﬂow of water to stop.

 Touchthefaucettostartow;doeswaterowstopafterapproximately

 oneminute?

If the handle is set to “Warm or “Hot”, and hot water has not

reached the faucet, the time out may extended up to an additional

60 seconds.

Cleaning and Care

Careshouldbegiventothecleaningofthisproduct.Althoughitsfinish

isextremelydurable,itcanbedamagedbyharshabrasivesorpolish.To

clean,simplywipegentlywithadampclothandblotdrywithasofttowel.

GlasscleanercanbeusedonSS(Stainless)finishtoremovefingerprints

andmaintaincolormatch.

Note: Metal vessel sinks and high water levels within all material sinks may

change the Odin faucet’s Proximity Control performance characteristics. When

this occurs, the sink may also become sensitive to Proximity Control activations.

If you ﬁnd this to be undesirable, the Proximity Control function can be disabled

by following the Maintenance instructions found on page 9.
