Attach Detergent Siphon Hose to Pump
Attach detergent siphon hose (A/to barbed hose fitting (BI
closest to high pressure outlet connection (C) on pump.
Add Engine Oit
1. Placepressure washer on a fiat, levelsurface.
2. Cleanareaaround oil fill and removeyellow oil fill
cap/dipstick.
3. Using oil funnel (optional), slowly pour contents of
supplied oil into oil fill opening, frequently checkingoil
level. DONOTOVERFILL.

At altitudes over 5.000 feet (1524 meters), a minimum
85 octane/ 85 AKI (89 RON)gasoline is acceptable.To
remain emissions compliant, high altitudeadjustment is
required. Operationwithout this adjustment will cause
decreasedperformance,increasedfuel consumption, and
increasedemissions. Seean Authorized Briggs & Stratton
dealerfor high altitude adjustment information. Operation of
the engineat altitudes below 2,500 feet (762 meters) with
the high altitude kit is not recommended.

Labricate OoRings
Lubrication of o-rings is extremely important for instaflation
and operation. The useof a lubricant (petrobum or synthetic
grease)during assemNy helpsseat o-rings properly and
provides an improved seal. it also helps protect the o-ring
from damageby abrasion, pinching or cutting and extends
the fife of the o-ring.
NOTICE ALWAYSapplya small amountof lubricant on
o-rings priorto assemblingthe garden hoseto the pump (C),
high pressure hose(D), spray gun (E), and nozzle
extension(F).
Labrieateaii connections shown below, following these
instraetions:
1, inspect and cleanconnecting surfaces prior to
lubrication and assembly.
2. Use lubricants sparingly during assembly; a fight film is
all that is required.
3. Use a small brush or cotton swabto apply grease
directly to ooringswherethey are not accessible(QC
fitting, M22 fitting).
Connect Hose and Water Supply to Pump
NOTICE DONOTrunthe pump without the water supply
connectedand turned on.
, Damagetoequipmentresultingfrom failuretofollowthis
instructionwillvoidwarranty.
NOTICE Removeand discard the shipping caps from the
pump's high pressure outlet and water inlet before attaching
hoses.
1. Uncoil high pressure hoseand attachone end of hose
to baseof spray gun. Tighten by hand.
WARNING The high pressure stream of water that
this equipment produces could cut through skin

injury and possible amputation.
* NEVERconnect high pressure hoseto nozzleextension.
Keephigh pressure hose connectedto pump and spraygun
while system is pressurized.
Always be certain spray gun, spraytips and accessoriesare
correctly attached.
2. Attach other end of high pressure hoseto high
pressure outlet on pump. Tighten by hand.
3. Run water through your garden hosefor 30 secondsto
cleanout anydebris.
NOTICE DONOTsiphon standingwater for the water
supply. UseONLYcold water (lessthan 100°F (38°C)).
4. Beforeconnecting garden hoseto water inlet, inspect
inlet screen (A). Cleanscreenif it contains debris or
haveit replacedif damaged.DONOTrun pressure
washer if inlet screen is damaged.
NOTICE Using a OneWayValve (vacuum breakeror check
valve) at pump inlet could cause pump or inlet connector
damage.
, ThereMUSTbeatleasttenfeetof unrestrictedgardenhose
betweenthepressurewasherinletandanydevice,suchasa
vacuumbreakeror checkvalve.
* Damageto equipmentresulting from failure to follow this
instruction will void warranty.
5. Connectthe garden hose (not to exceed50 feet (15 m)
in length) to the water inlet.Tighten by hand.

markedto comply with ANSi Z8X1 when using or in vicinity of
this equipment.

6. Turn ONthe water, press red button (B) on the gun and
squeezethetrigger to purgethe pump system of air and
impurities.
Checklist Befere Starting Engine
Reviewthe unit's assembly to ensureyou haveperformed all
of the following.
1. Be sureto readthe OperatorSafetysection and Howto
Use Your Pressure Washerbefore using pressure
washer.
2. Make sure handle is in placeand secure.
3. Checkthat oil hasbeen addedto proper levelin the
engine crankcase.
4. Add proper fuel to fuel tank.
5. Checkfor properly tightened hoseconnections.
6. Checkto makesurethere are no kinks, cuts, or damage
to high pressure hose.
7. Provide a proper watersupply at anadequateflow.

Haw to Start Your Pressure Washer
To start your pressurewasher for the first time, follow these
instructions step-by-step. This starting information also
applies if you haveletthe pressurewasher sit idle for at least
a day.
1. Placepressure washer near an outside watersource
capableof supplying water at a flow rategreaterthan
3.3 gallons (12.5 I) per minute and no lessthan 20 PSi
(1.38 BARS)at pressurewasher end of garden hose.

2. Checkthat high pressure hoseis tightly connectedto

3. Make sure unit is in a level position.

Examinethe hose connectionto the spray gun and make
sure it is secure.Testthe trigger by pressing the redbutton
and making surethe trigger "springs back" into placewhen

Spray Tip IViaintenance
A pulsing sensationfelt while squeezingthe spraygun
trigger may becaused by excessivepump pressure.The
principal causeof excessivepump pressure is a spray tip
clogged or restricted with foreign materials, such asdirt, etc.
To correct the problem, immediately cleanthe spray tip
following these instructions:

Cl_angeoil while engine is still warm from running, as
faiiaws:
1, Drainfueltank by running pressure washer until fuel
tank is empty,
2, Disconnectspark plug wire and keepit away from
spark plug,
3, Cleanareaaround oil fill, removeoil fill cap/dipstick,
Wipe dipstick clean,
4, Tip your pressurewasher to drain oil from oil fill into a
suitable container making sure you tip your unit away
from spark plug, When crankcaseis empty, return
pressure washer to upright position,
5, Slowly pour recommendedoil (about 20 oz,) into oilfill
openi% Pauseto permit oil to settle. Fillto FULLmark
(top hole) on dipstick,
6, Wipe dipstick cleaneachtime oil levelis checked, DO
NOToverfill,
7, Replaceand tighten dipstick,
8, Wipe up any remainingoil,
9, Reconnectspark plug wire to spark plug,
Service Air Cleaner
Your enginewill not run properly and may be damaged if
you run it with a dirty air cleaner.Service more often if
operating under dirty or dusty conditions,
Toservice the air cleaner, faiiaw these steps:
1, Slide air cleanerlever (A) to unlock (_') position and
tilt cover (B) down,
2. Carefully removeair cleanerto preventdebris from
falling into carburetor.
3. Wash foam aircleaner (C) in liquid detergent and
water. Squeezedry in a cleancloth.
4. SATURATEfoam air cleaner in engine oil and squeeze
in a clean cloth to removeexcess oil.
5. Reinstall cleanor new foam air cleaner in base(D).
6. Tilt cover up and slide leverto lock (_ ) position.
Semite Spark Plug
Changingthe spark plugwill helpyour engine to start easier
and run better,
1, Cleanarea around spark plug,
2, Removeand inspect spark plug,
3, Replacespark plugif electrodesare pitted, burned or
porcelain is cracked, Usethe recommended
replacementplug. See Specifications,
4, Checkelectrode gapwith wire feeler gauge and reset
spark plug gap to recommended gapif necessary(see
Specifications),
5. Install spark plug and tighten firmly,
inspect Muffler end Spark Attester
Inspectthe muffler for cracks,corrosion, or other damage.
Removethe spark arrester, if equipped,and inspectfor
damageor carbon blockage, if replacementparts are
required,make sureto useonly original equipment
replacementparts.
WARNING Exhaust heat/gases could ignite
combustibles, structures or damage fuel
tank causing a fire, resulting in death,
serious injury and/or property damage.
Contact with muffler area could cause burns resulting in
serious injury.
DO NOTtouch hot parts andAVOIDhot exhaust gases.
Allow equipment to cool beforetouching.
Keepat least5 feet (1.5 m) of clearanceon all sidesof pressure
washer including overhead.

brush-covered, or grass-covered land unless the exhaust
system is equipped with aspark attester, as defined in Section
4442, maintained in effective working order. Other states or
federaljurisdictions may havesimilar laws.
Contactthe original equipment manufacturer, retailer, or dealer
to obtain a spark attester designedfor the exhaust system
installed on this engine.
Replacement parts must bethe sameand installed in the same
position asthe original parts.
