TECHNICAL DATA
This manual describes the TDR Exhaust-Hood.
The Exhaust-Hood is available for the TDR5 and TDR7 Rotisseries. It can also be placed on single
or stacked (double) units.
It has it’s own mains cable with Nema 6-15p plug (see below).
A separate wall socket is needed !!
All of the information, illustrations and specifications contained in this manual are based on the
latest product information available at the time of printing.

WARNING: Disconnect the electrical power to the machine at the
main circuit box. Place a tag on the circuit box indicating the cir-
cuit is being serviced.
INSTALLATION
MOUNTING THE HOOD ON THE TDR
Unpack the hood
Take out the grease filters (on both sides).
1 lift up.
2 turn out
3 Unscrew the TDR side panels and put them
aside.
4a For TDR8 m or TDR8 p:
Replace the top plate by the delivered one.
4b For TDR5 m/p and TDR auto-clean (TDR ac):
Nock out 2 holes at the left side.
Unscrew and remove 2 screws with (sheet
metal) nuts at the side of the electric panel.
5 Place the hood on top of the TDR and -
6 Fix the hood with 4 screws.

Guide the wires as shown.
Disconnect the current wire #30 from the hi-limit
thermostat.
Disconnect the current wire #30 from the terminal
block and remove the wire completely.
Connect the wires #200 and #201 instead as
shown, or #300 and #301 in case of the bottom
unit.
When it is a single unit, please bind up the wires
300 and 301. (no power comes on these wires)
Mount the side panels of the TDR.

These wires can be tied together and insulated in
case of a TDRm.

Guide the wires as shown

Wire # 200 and 201 (or # 300 and
301 in case of bottom unit) go to the
K1 contactor and CB2 terminal block.
Disconnect and remove wire #28
completely and dispose it.
Cut the receptacles from wire
200, 201, 300 and 301 and strip
them.
Connect wire 200 to contactor

ADJUSTING THE “HOOD PARAMETER IN TDRAC
Touch the screen somewhere (if blank)
Touch the ON / OFF symbol to open the home
screen.
Swipe up the to open the sub menu
Choose to open manager and service
menu.
Choose “Service” and than pin code 4878.
Scroll to the parameter “Hood” and change to
“ON”.
Push several times to leave the menu.

PLACING OF THE CARBON FILTERS
The way of placing
1 The lters go in from both sides.
2 Place the carbon lter with the three bolts in
the holes.
3 Fully turn in clockwise. A switch will detect the
position!
4 Place the two bottom lters.
5 Place the middle top lter together with the
lter support. (lter support already present in
case of TDR5)
6 Place the remaining 2 lters.
7 Place the 2 grease lters. Also the placing of
these lters is being detected.
8 Put the plug into the mains socket (208V~).
9 Switch On the hood. The pilot lamp will stay
O when all seven lters (5 carbon and 2 gre-
ase) are placed correctly.
10 The pilot lamp will be lit if one of the lters is
not placed properly
11 After pushing reset the switch will be unlit and
the TDR is ready to be used.

PRESSURE SWITCH
1 Open the electra box.
2 Open the blower compartment.
3 Disconnect the tube from the switch.
4 Open the pressure switch by pushing the
latch.
5 Check the wire numbers and label if neces-
sary #59, #60 and #64.
6 Disconnect the 3 wires.
7 Unscrew the cable gland
8 Take out the switch.
9 Reverse the procedure to mount the switch.
10 Close the blower compartment to test.
11 Remove all carbon filters. (the filter posi-
oning light will be illuminated when swit-
ching ON.
12 Cut 5 pieces of paper of ± 15x15cm (6”x6”)
to cover the grid from the carbon filters.
13 Switch ON the hood. => Reset switch is lit.
14 Push the reset button. It should now be un-
lit. (the filter positioning light stays ON).
15 Put 4 pieces of paper in front of the grids as
shown. The reset switch should be still unlit.
16 Slide the 5th paper in front of the grid.
The reset switch should be lit before half of
the grid is covered.
17 Adjust the pressure switch if necessary.
18 Close the electra box.

WARNING: Observe all safety rules when working on the hood
ELECTRICAL TESTS

After switching ON the hood, the blower will be ON and the reset switch will be lit.
When all 7 filters are in position, K2 will be ON and the pilot lamp will be OFF.
The pressure switch S3 now measures the pressure delta between the filter and the blower
compartment. It will NOT switch in good situation.
After pushing the reset switch, K1 and K3 come IN and the switch illumination will be OFF.
(unless the filters are satured).
It is now possible to start a program on the TDR rotisserie.
Therefore ==> all relays ON ==> Red lights OFF ==> Operation is possible.
Only the top unit from the TDRp will display an error in fault situation. (status signals)
In the bottom unit of the TDRp and all TDRm models, only the heat contactor will be disa-
bled.
