Please read these operating instructions carefully. Pay attention above all to the safety information!
Please keep the operating instructions for future reference. Pass them on to any future owner of the
appliance.
• Power supply: AC only 220/230 V, fuse 16 A or 10 A slow-acting.
• Do not put the unit into service if:
– the connecting lead is damaged,
– the unit is visibly damaged.
• Use only in the home for cleaning dry material.
People and animals must not be treated with the unit.
Keep children away from electrical appliances.
• Do not vacuum:
– Liquids. Allow damp cleaned fitted carpet to dry out completely.
– Matchsticks, glowing ash or cigarette ends.
– Hard, pointed objects.
– Toner dust (from laser printers, photocopiers).
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket with the cord. Do not run over the mains cable with
the unit and suction brush.
• Do not clean unit with water (except filters and dust collector as per the instructions).
• Do not expose the unit to the effects of weather, moisture or sources of heat.
• Dust collector or a paper dust bag and all filters must always be fitted. If no dust collector or
paper dust bag is fitted, the dust-collector compartment cover cannot be closed. Please do
not use force!
• Repairs to electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified service engineers. Improperly
performed repairs can result in considerable danger for the user.
• If the power cable is defective the entire cable roller must be exchanged by the AEG customer
service or an authorized workshop.
• The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage caused by improper use or incorrect opera-
tion.
In the event of a fault please contact your specialist dealer or the AEG customer service directly.

• Wir empfehen, den Staubbehälter nach jedem Saugen zu entleeren. Spätestens jedoch dann,
wenn die Anzeige D vollständig rot ausgefüllt ist (bei Betrieb auf höchster Saugstufe und
vom Boden abgehobener Düse). Staub bei Bedarf auch vom Behälterfilter entfernen
(auspinseln). Abbildungen 1-3. Vorsicht: Staubraumdeckel ganz öffen, bis zum Einrasten!
Wenn Behälter nass gereingt wird (siehe auch Seite 21): Gut trocknen (lassen) vor dem Wie-
dereinsetzen .
• Lässt die Saugleistung bei entleertem Staubbehälter (oder wenn Anzeige D rot) merklich
nach, bitte alle Filter unter fliessend Warmwasser reinigen. Vor dem Wiedereinsetzen gut
trocknen lassen. Abbildungen 4-6/7 (HEPA Filter). Filter bei Bedarf ersetzen.

• Papierstaubbeutel wechseln, wenn die Anzeige D vollständig rot ausgefüllt ist (bei Betrieb
auf höchster Saugstufe und vom Boden abgehobener Düse). Abbildung 4.
Auch wenn dabei der Beutel nicht gefüllt erscheint, kann ein Wechsel erforderlich sein.
Feinstaub kann die Poren verstopfen, was die Saugleistung des Geräts verringert.
Wenn wieder mit dem Staubbehälter gearbeitet werden soll: Halterung T entfernen, aufbewah-
ren, Sicherungsklappe S anbringen, Staubbehälter einsetzen.

poser le clapet de sûreté S, mettre en place le bac à poussière.

Se si deve lavorare di nuovo con il contenitore polvere: togliere il supporto T, metterlo da parte,
applicare il coperchio di sicurezza S, introdurre il contenitore polvere.

Before starting maintenance or cleaning, switch off the unit and withdraw the mains plug.
Wipe over unit and dust-collector compartment if necessary with a damp cloth and allow to dry. Do
not use abrasive materials or solvents. Clean floor nozzle and brush webs occasionally with the
crevice nozzle.
Do not wash the dust collector in a dishwasher or clean with aggressive detergents. (This could
damage or dull the dust collector).
...it is difficult to move the nozzle: reduce the suction capacity. This does not reduce the cleaning
effect.
...the motor overheating protection has switched off the unit: e.g. owing to overload of the motor,
by full dust collector/dust bag or blocked tools.
Switch off the unit, withdraw the mains plug, allow motor to cool. Check dust collector/dust bag,
suction tube and suction hose; removed any blockage. The unit can be switched on again after
approx. 30 minutes.
...the fuse has blown: the fuse can blow if other electrical units with high consumption are used at
the same time as the vacuum cleaner from the same circuit. In this case before switching on set the
suction capacity control to the lowest level and only select a higher level after switching on.
Do not simply discard packing material and used units!
Unit packing: we recommend preserving the packing material for the term of the warranty to per-
mit reliable transport.
Take the polyethylene (PE) bag to a PE recycling bank.
Recycling the vacuum cleaner at the end of its service life: the plastic parts are identified by a
material code, so that they can be recycled at the end of the service life of the vacuum cleaner in
the same way as other materials.
Your local authority environment office will provide information on the location of the nearest
recycling facility.
