Single zone ductless mini-split heat pumps are considered to be the most energy ecient method
for heating and cooling an area. Forcing air through a duct can create up to 30% energy loss.
Ductless mini-split systems operate by using two major components. The rst is the outdoor unit,
also known as a condenser. The second is the indoor unit, also known as the evaporator, which is the
unit that handles and circulates the indoor air.
Single zone systems treat the air in one area of the structure and are ideal in applications where only one
room must be treated. Some common examples include an addition to a home that is not part of the
home’s main heating and cooling system, a room that gets particularly warm in the summer months or
cool in the winter months, a basement, a restaurant kitchen, or when there is a desire to boost energy
eciency by coupling an existing system with a ductless mini-split.
Pridiom® oers ve dierent single zone ductless mini-split solutions. All of our systems are heat pumps

Landmark Series
The Landmark series is a straight forward system in which the compressor runs at a constant speed and shuts
down when the desired temperature is reached. These basic refrigeration systems have been the back bone
of the industry since the early days of air conditioning. The Landmark Series is not suitable for applications
in which outdoor temperatures have extreme highs or lows and is limited in its energy eciency.
Comfort Series, Classic Series, and Elite Series — Inverter Systems
In an inverter system, advanced technology is used to convert incoming voltage from AC (alternating
current) to DC (direct current), which is more ecient. Additionally inverter technology allows the system
to subtly increase or decrease the speed of the compressor and power consumption. The technology of
regulating the speed of the compressor can be compared to a car using cruise control. This technology
reduces operating costs by up to 70%.
Inverter technology enhances the comfort levels in a treated area by achieving the desired temperature
quicker and by maintaining the desired temperature more consistently and eciently than
non-inverter systems.

Traditionally ductless systems were primarily single zone - one condenser and one evaporator. Our line
of multi-zone ductless technology now allows for a single condenser to provide heating or cooling to
multiple evaporators. Due to the fact that there is one compressor, the evaporators must all be operating
in the same mode, i.e. they all must be in heating or cooling mode.
The range of our versatile multi-zone systems is now wider than ever. The ability to mix and match
any combination of evaporators on a single condenser provides hundreds of dierent system options.
Our multi-zone systems have four dierent condensers at their heart. These allow for multiple
combinations to be installed using almost any of our dierent evaporators.
Our technology allows for our condensers to be installed without utilizing all of the evaporator ports.
This feature allows for additional evaporators to be installed at a later date.

High Wall

High wall evaporators are installed, as the name suggests, high on an interior wall. The unit is installed
approximately eight inches from the ceiling. Features include outstanding air throw and circulation,
a high level of comfort, and extremely easy installation. Our high wall evaporators have a black mirror
nish that results in a sophisticated appearance. Accessory panels are also available to change the
color if desired.
Ceiling Cassettes
PCM123HX, PCM183HX, PCM243HX
Ceiling cassettes are recessed into a ceiling, allowing for the unit to be hidden from view. In order to
compensate for the cassette being recessed into a ceiling, our units are built with a factory installed
condensate pump. Our cassettes also have the capability of having up to two air distribution ducts
connected to provide air to other areas. Additionally, our cassettes have a built-in connection port for
a fresh air make-up system.
Floor/Ceiling
PFCM123HX, PFCM183HX, PFCM243HX
Floor/Ceiling units give the user the option to have the unit installed at oor level or have it suspended
from the ceiling. This versatility makes it possible to incorporate such units into any space, regardless of
window placement, art placement, or other spacing issues that many areas have. Additionally, they are
designed to have the evaporator fan stay on at all times. This works to circulate and sense the air when in
cooling mode and in heating mode to bring the warm air back down to the living space.
Concealed Duct
PDM123HX, PDM183HX, PDM243HX
Concealed duct evaporators are installed high on the wall, however unlike the high wall unit, concealed
duct evaporators are recessed into the wall, giving an appearance similar to that of a supply duct from
a central air conditioning unit. Like ceiling cassettes, concealed duct systems allow for air distribution
through multiple ducts.
