ATTACHING THE MOUNTING
BRACKET
Place the mounting bracket (B) over the
oat switch (A). Thread the two screws
(C) into the oat switch (A) to attach the
bracket (B). DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

ATTACHING THE ROD
Insert the rod (G) into the oat switch
(A). Slide the rod stop pin (E) into the
oat switch (A) to keep the rod from
falling out of the oat during operation.

ATTACH THE FLOAT
Slide the oat bulb (D) over the rod (G)
with the narrow side facing up. Install
the oat stop (F) on the rod (G).

ATTACHING THE SWITCH
Loosen the clamp (H) completely with a
screwdriver.
Attach the mounting bracket (B) and switch
(A) to the discharge pipe by inserting the
clamp (H) through the mounting bracket’s (B)
slots. Keep the vertical switch vertical.
The bottom of the oat ball must be at least 1/2
in. above the outlet of the pump.

SECURING THE SWITCH
Tie the power cords of the pump and
vertical switch to the discharge pipe
with the cable tie (I) or elecctrical
tape (not included).

TESTING THE SWITCH
Plug the pump power cord into the piggyback switch
plug. Then plug the piggyback switch cord into the
GFCI outlet.
Check the pump and vertical switch by lling the
sump pit with water and observe the operation of
the pump and vertical switch through one complete
cycle.
Make sure the pump cannot move in the sump and
vertical switch moves freely up and down.

Failure to follow these precautions could result in serious injury or
death. Replace product immediately if switch cable becomes damaged
or severed. Keep these instructions with warranty after installation. This
product must be installed in accordance with National Electric Code,
ANSI/NFPA 70 so as to prevent moisture from entering or accumulating
within boxes, conduit bodies, ttings, oat housing, or cable.
Do not handle pump or vertical switch with wet hands or when standing
on wet or damp surface, or in water.
WARNING: EXPLOSION OR FIRE HAZARD. Do not use this product with
ammable liquids. Do not install in hazardous locations as dened by National
Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.
WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Disconnect power before installing
or servicing this product. A qualied service person must install and service this
product according to applicable electrical and plumbing codes.
