NATURSCHALLWANDLER® ETERNITA
ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Our cordial Thank You for purchasing a NATURSCHALLWANDLERl System of MUNDUS GmbH!
Our instructions below are intended to facilitate the correct installation of your NATURSCHALLWANDLERl
system and make it easier to connect it properly to your home entertainment equipment. Choosing the right place
and establishing the proper cable connections are vital prerequisites to allow the unique sound characteristics of this
system to unfold in your own private environment.
1.) Components of the ETERNITA NSW system
Your system includes the following components:
- 2 speaker columns
- 2 speaker cables 2x6 metres
- 4 audio crossover cable links
- 2 protective fabric covers
2.) Unpacking the system
Your NSW ETERNITA is shipped in robust, re-usable
transport boxes by a MUNDUS specialist supplier or by a
forwarding agent commissioned by MUNDUS GmbH.
Please open both transport boxes and place the box
covers aside.
ETERNITA is additionally protected with a fabric cover.
The bottom part of ETERNITA is provided with a carrying
strap (see Fig. 2).
Hold the speaker at the bottom carrying strap and
one of the robust stainless-steel braces on the upper part
(underneath the fabric cover). Then carefully lift it out of the
transport box and place it in the desired position in your
room.
Repeat the procedure with the second speaker.
3.) Setting up your listening place
We recommend setting up a listening place, so as to
experience the unique holographic qualities of the NSW.
Position the two speakers to the left and right of your
selected listening place. This place (couch, armchair,
deckchair) can be located in the centre of your room or in
front of a straight wall. Depending on the room size and
architecture, the distance between the speakers may vary
between 3 and 8 metres (see Fig. 1).

4.) Selecting and connecting the audio crossover
You may select between two frequency crossover points for
the mid and high-frequency range of ETERNITA, which differ
in their sound pattern and dynamics. For medium-sized and
large living rooms and other indoor rooms we recommend
selecting “highpass 2 home area regular power”. This
crossover is controlled from the two bottom connectors on
the rear terminal (Fig 3).
For very large indoor rooms, such as conference rooms and
halls, or for using the device as a PA sound system or
outdoor events, we recommend selecting the “highpass 1
large area high power“ setting, which is controlled by the two
upper connectors on the rear terminal (Fig 4).
To connect your selected frequency crossover, please use
the four supplied cable links, two of each are provided with a
red mark (plus pole) and two each are provided with a black
mark (minus pole). Using these cables, bridge-connect your
selected mid/high-frequency speaker to the connector of the
system bass loudspeaker (Fig. 5).
Plug the connector of a red cable bridge into the red (middle)
receptacle on the rear terminal (bass). Depending on the
selected crossover, plug the other connector of the cable
bridge EITHER into the red (highpass 2) OR the upper red
(highpass 1) receptacle on the terminal (Fig. 3 or Fig. 4).
Now plug the connector of a black cable bridge into the black
(middle) receptacle on the rear terminal (bass). Depending
on the selected crossover, plug the other connector of the
cable bridge EITHER into the lower black (highpass 2) OR
into the upper black (highpass 1) receptacle of the terminal
(Fig. 3 or Fig. 4).
NOTE:
Always make sure to select the same frequency crossover
for both loudspeakers!
Do not use the cable bridges to connect highpass 1 and
highpass 2! (Fig. 6)
Fig. 3

Now both channels of the loudspeaker bass are connected
(bridged) to one of the two frequency crossover points.
Please repeat the entire procedure with your second speaker
column.
You may change between the two crossover configurations
by removing the connector from “highpass 1” ON BOTH
speakers and inserting it into the receptacles of “highpass 2”,
and vice versa. The (bass) connectors in the middle remain
unchanged for both frequency crossover configurations
(Fig. 3 or Fig 4).
ATTENTION:
Make sure to switch off the amplifier before performing any
changes on the wiring!
5.) Cable connections from amplifier to ETERNITA
Your NSW is provided with 2 x 6 metres of loudspeaker cable as a
standard. On one side of each cable there are two banana plugs in
red (plus pole) and black (minus pole). The other end has bare
wires provided with a protective sleeve (Fig. 7).
The plus cable is marked with a red line along its length; the
minus cable is not colour-coded.
NOTE:
- Please leave your amplifier switched off when
connecting the loudspeaker cables.
- Pull the protective sleeves from the bare wire ends of the
loudspeaker cables and remove the plastic caps from the
banana plugs.
NOTE:
Make sure that the colour coding of the connecting terminals
matches the colours of the connecting cables (red to red, bare
to black).
- Now guide the loudspeaker cable with the red plug into the
middle opening on the right-hand side. Insert the cable with the
black plug into the middle opening on the left-hand side
(Fig. 8).

On the other end of the cable, plug the red and black
banana plugs into the appropriate speaker receptacles
(red and black) on your amplifier or connect the bare
ends directly to the speaker output of your amplifier
(Fig. 9).
- The left loudspeaker is now connected to the left stereo
channel of your amplifier. Repeat the procedure to establish
the cable connections for the right loudspeaker and connect
the cable to the right-hand stereo channel of your amplifier.
NOTE:
If you are using a Surround Technology amplifier, please use
only the two front speaker terminals for your
NATURSCHALLWANDLER. These terminals are needed to
transmit the required stereo signal. Further connections will
not be required for the NATURSCHALLWANDLER®.
The components of your NSW system are now
connected properly and completely, and you may
now start to play and enjoy holographic music from
your ETERNITA system.
6.) First Start-Up
- Connect your amplifier to the existing sound sources (e.g.
CD player, DVD player, TV) by means of one or several
commercially available cinch cables (also available as
accessories).
- Observe the correct colour coding of the right (red) and left
(black) channels
- Switch on your amplifier and sound sources.
- Select a low volume to start listening.
- Select the desired sound source on your amplifier and start
playing.
7.) Accessories / Expansions
To decouple ground resonances virtually completely from the
loudspeaker, you can mount so-called “spikes” underneath
the baseplate of your ETERNITA system. The base of each
column is provided with four (4) countersunk M6 screw
threads which can be used to fasten most commercial types
of spikes (not available from MUNDUS GmbH).
8.) Further Hints
- Always start playing your music at a low
volume, thus preventing your amplifier and
loudspeaker from being overloaded by an
excessive starting pulse.
- The NSW offers you a unique chance to
choose your individual listening position.
If you wish to experience a stage concert
feeling, choose your position right between the
two mid-/high-range modules.
- When used for overall room sound, the
holographic density will decrease with
increasing distance. The same applies to the
volume, but the sound will not be distorted
(just like going for a walk in the forest when
you can hear the birds’ voices more softly,
yet still clearly).
- Furniture may “swallow” sound frequencies.
We therefore recommend setting up the
system in an undamped environment.
- A special feature of the Nature Sound
Converter is its ability to play even the finest
and softest tones in their original quality.
There is virtually no frequency loss below a
certain volume. If you wish, you may listen to
your music at normal speech volume without
losing any detail. On the other hand, when
increasing the volume you will find that you
can still continue a conversation without having
to speak up.
- The NWS system cannot reproduce more
sound than is provided by the selected sound
source. Every CD may sound differently,
depending on the recording, mixing, rework
and pressing.
- It is recommended not to use any additional
sound regulation via the amplifier.
