place them on a clean soft surface. This will prevent damage to the finish. Compare the contents with the parts
list to make sure nothing is missing. Dispose of all packaging materials properly. Please recycle when possible.

NOTES ON ASSEMBLY
• Tools required for assembly: Phillips head screwdriver (not included)
• CAUTION! AVOID DAMAGE! NEVER USE POWER TOOLS TO ASSEMBLE THIS ITEM.
• Approximate assembly time: 35 minutes. Some steps are more easily handled with two adults.
• Use of the Cam Screw / Cam Lock system
Cam screws should be screwed
in until flush with panel.
DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN.
Set cam lock into panel with open end toward cam screw hole. Slide
panel with cam lock over cam screw. Tighten cam lock with screw driver
until panels are flush. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

ASSEMBLY
Step 1: Screw 2 Cam screws (A) into the holes in the Left back panel (4). Insert 2 Cam locks (B) into back
holes in Left shelf (6). (Note: The “+” on the Cam locks should face out, and the open side of the Cam Lock
should align with the Cam screw hole.) Attach the left shelf to the left back panel so that the 2 Cam locks in left
shelf fit over the corresponding Cam screws. Tighten each Cam lock with the screwdriver by turning it
clockwise 180° until the shelf is flush against the back panel and secure. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Step 2: Screw 3 Cam screws (A) into the holes in the Left side panel (4). Insert 1 Cam lock (B) into side hole in
left shelf and 2 Cam locks into side holes in left back panel. (Note: The “+” on the Cam Locks should face out,
and the open side of the Cam Lock should align with the Cam Screw hole.) Attach the side panel to the back
panel and shelf assembly so that the Cam locks fit over the corresponding Cam screws (A). Tighten each Cam
lock with the screwdriver by turning it clockwise 180° until the side panel is flush against the shelf and back
panel and secure. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Repeat for the others same way.

Step 3: Screw 6 Cam screws (A) into the holes in the Base (1). Insert 4 Cam locks (B) into bottom hole in side
panels and 2 Cam locks into bottom holes in back panels. (Note: The “+” on the Cam Locks should face out,
and the open side of the Cam Lock should align with the Cam Screw hole.) Place assembly on the base so that
the Cam locks fit over the corresponding Cam screws (A). Tighten each Cam lock with the screwdriver by
turning it clockwise 180° until the side panel is flush against the shelf and back panel and secure. DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN.
Step 4: Screw 6 Cam screws (A) into the holes in the Top (8). Insert 4 Cam locks (B) into top holes in side
panels and 2 Cam locks into top holes in back panels. (Note: The “+” on the Cam Locks should face out, and the
open side of the Cam Lock should align with the Cam Screw hole.) Place top on assembly so that the Cam locks
fit over the corresponding Cam screws (A). Tighten each Cam lock with the screwdriver by turning it clockwise
180° until the side panel is flush against the shelf and back panel and secure. Tighten all cam locks.

Step 5: Put the Top box (9) on the top. Align the back of top box with top. Attach the Metal connector (E) to the
top box and top. Thread 4pcs Flat head screws (F) through the metal connector and into the top box and box.
Tighten all screws with Philips screwdriver.

ELECTRIC FIREPLACE INSERT INSTALLATION
Install Electric Fireplace Insert
Locate the final location of your fireplace; be sure that you have clear access to a grounded electrical outlet.
Take care when moving assembled unit, it will take two adults to move assembled unit into position. Position
the wood mantel close to its final location, leaving enough room to access the back of the mantel. With the help
of an adult assistant, lift the insert carefully into the back side of the mantel. Do not drag the unit across Fire
Box Shelf as it may be scratched. (Note: Do not attempt to insert the Firebox from the front of the mantel, it will
not fit). Gently slide the insert into the opening in the mantel until the flange is flush against the inside of the
mantel.
Secure Electric Insert into Mantel
Locate 2 angle brackets (D). Attach one angle bracket to each side of the side panel with screws (E) provided.
Angle brackets should be installed about 12 inches up from the base to hold the insert in place.
Plug the firebox into outlet. With the help of an adult assistant, gently move entire unit into the final location.
Read and follow all Electric Fireplace insert instructions, before operating your fireplace.
Warning: Never sit or stand on fireplace mantel
Cleaning: Use a vacuum or duster to keep mantel clean and free from dust and dirt. Do not use any abrasive
cleaners, liquid sprays, or any other cleaner that may scratch the surface.
WARNING: If using this Fireplace Mantel as a T.V. stand, to avoid personal injury, follow instructions included with your T.V. for
safely attaching your T.V. to this piece of furniture.
