WARNING
This appliance shall be installed in accordance with regulations in force and only used in
a well ventilated space.
Prior to installation, ensure that the gas and electrical supply complies with the type
stated on the rating plate.
Where this appliance is installed in marine craft or in caravans, it should not be used as
a space heater.
The gas pipe and electrical cable must be installed in such a way that they do not touch
any parts or the appliance.
CAUTION
This appliance should be installed by a qualified technician or installer.
This appliance must be connected to the mains power supply by a specially licensed
electrician only.
To maintain the efficiency and safety of your appliance, we recommend you always use
original spare parts and to call only our authorized service agents in case of need.
The adjustment conditions for this appliance are stated on the label or data plate.
Remove all packaging before using the appliance.
After unpacking the appliance, make sure the product is not damaged and that the
connection cord is in perfect condition. Otherwise, contact the dealer before installing

withstand a minimum temperature of 85˚C above the ambient temperature of the room
it is located in, whilst in use.

In the event of burner flames being accidentally extinguished, turn off the burner control
and do not attempt to re-ignite the burner for at least one minute.

CAUTION

Use heat-resistant pot holders or gloves when handling hot pots and pans.
Do not let pot holders come near open flames when lifting cookware.
Take care not to let pot holders or gloves get damp or wet, as this causes heat to
transfer through the material quicker with the risk of burning yourself.
Only ever use the burners after placing pots and pans on them. Do not heat up any
empty pots or pans.
Never use plastic or aluminium foil dishes on the appliance.
When using other electrical appliances, ensure the cable does not come into contact
with the appliance surfaces of the cooking appliance.
If you will not use the appliance for a long time, plug it off. Keep the main control switch
off. Also when you do not use the appliance, keep the gas valve off.

Foods for frying should be as dry as possible. Frost on frozen foods or moisture on
fresh foods can cause hot fat to bubble up and over the sides of the pan.
Never try to move a pan of hot fat, especially a deep fat fryer. Wait until the fat is
completely cool.
CLEANING AND SERVICE

Never use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents.
This appliance should only be repaired or serviced by an authorised Service Engineer

WARNING
Do not modify this appliance.
This appliance must be installed by an authorised technician or installer.
Prior to installation, ensure that the local distribution conditions (nature of the gas and gas pressure) and
the adjustment of the appliance are compatible.
The adjustment conditions for this appliance are stated on the label (or data plate).
This appliance is not connected to a combustion products evacuation device. It should be installed and
connected in accordance with current installation regulations. Particular attention should be given to the
relevant requirements regarding ventilaton.
Before installing, turn off the gas and electricity supply to the appliance.
All appliances containing any electrical components must be earthed.
Ensure that the gas pipe and electrical cable are installed in such a way that they do not touch any parts
of the appliance which may become hot.
Gas pipe or connector shouldn’t be bent or blocked by any other appliances.
Check the dimensions of the appliance as well as the dimensions of the gap to be cut in the kitchen unit.
The panels located above the work surface, directly next to the appliance, must be made of non-
flammable material. Both the stratified surfacing and the glue used to secure it should be heat resistant,
to prevent deterioration.
Turn on appliance tap and light each burners.
If burners shows any abnormalities, check the following :

INSTALLATION
Installing the appliance
CAUTION
Do not use a silicon sealant to seal the
appliance against the aperture.
This will make it difficult to remove the appliance
from the aperture in future, particularly if it
needs to be serviced.
CAUTION
In order to prevent tipping of the appliance, the
stabilizing brackets must be installed.

Locate the brackets and screws.
Remove the brackets and screws from the
package.

INSTALLATION
Electrical connection
This appliance must be earthed.
This appliance is designed to be connected to a
230 V, 50 Hz AC electricity supply.
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code ;
Green/yellow = Earth
Black = Neutral
Red = Live
NOTE
The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal which is
marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol.
Gas adjustment
CAUTION
Take precautions on the operations and
adjustments to be carried out when converting
from one gas to another.
All work must be carried out by a qualified

Remove trivets, burners and top plate.

Remove the brass nozzle in the chimney of each
burner using a 7 mm nut driver.

Install the natural gas nozzles into their correct
positions as described in the Nozzle Location
and Nozzle Specifications Table.

Remove the bypass nozzle of each valve using
a flat-blade screw driver.

Install the natural gas bypass nozzles into their
correct positions as described in the Bypass
Nozzle Specifications Table.

To prevent leakage, make sure the nozzles and
bypass nozzles are securely screwed into the
burner bodies and valves.
CAUTION
During reassemble the top plate, make sure
all valve shafts are concentric with respective
decor rings.

OPERATION
To ignite a burner
Press in the control knob of the burner that you
wish to light and turn it anti-clockwise to the
maximum position.
If you keep the control knob depressed, the
automatic ignition for the burner will operate.
You should hold down the control knob for 2~3
seconds after the flame on the burner has lit. If after
2~3 seconds the burner has not lit, stop operating
the device and open the compartment door and/
or wait at least 1 min before attempting a further
ignition of the burner.
After this 2~3 second interval, to regulate the flame
you should continue turning the control knob anti-
clockwise until the flame is at a suitable level. The
operating position MUST be at a position between
the maximum and minimum position.
To switch the burner off, turn the control knob fully
clockwise to the gas off position.
In case of power failure, the burners can be lit by
carefully using a match.
OPERATION
How to use the appliance
The following symbols will appear on the control
panel, next to each control knob :
Black circle: gas off
Large flame: maximum
setting
Small flame: minimum
setting
The minimum setting is at the end of the anti-
clockwise rotation of the control knob.
All operation positions must be selected between
the maximum and minimum position.
The symbol on the control panel, next to the control
knob will indicate which burner it operates.
Automatic ignition with ame failure
safety device
The appliance is fitted with a flame failure safety
device on each burner, which is designed to stop
the flow of gas to the burner head in the event of the
flame going out.

OPERATION
Using a Wok
Smaller flat-bottomed woks can be used directly on
the trivet. Make sure that the wok bottom sits flat on
the trivet.
CAUTION
If using a round-bottomed wok, use the
included wok trivet. Do not use a wok support
ring. Placing the ring over the burner or trivet
may cause the burner to work improperly,
resulting in carbon monoxide levels above
allowable standards. This can be hazardous to
your health.
Using the Wok Trivet
Use the included wok trivet to support round-
bottomed wok.

Turn off all burners and allow the trivets and top
plate to cool before installing or removing the
wok trivet. Do not remove the standard burner
trivets.

Place the wok trivet on top of the left or right
front burner trivet, aligning the notches on the
wok trivet with the burner trivet's fingers.

Make sure the wok trivet is stable and the wok
rests firmly on the wok trivet. Do not use a wok
that is the wrong size to fit securely in the wok
trivet.

In addition to the wok it can also be use in
reverse direction for pan with tip over.

NOTE
For best performance, place the wok trivet over
the triple burner, left or right front burner.
Do not use the wok trivet with cookware other
than a wok.
Clean the wok trivet with hot, soapy water. Do
not use oven cleaners, steel wool, or abrasive
cleansers. Do not clean with the self-clean
mode.
CAUTION
Turn off all burners and allow wok trivet, burner
trivets, and top plate to cool before installing or
removing wok trivet.
The wok trivet retains hot for a long time.
Always use an oven mitt when installing or
removing the wok trivet. Do not store the wok
trivet on the burner trivet.
Do not use flat-bottomed cookware or
incorrectly sized woks with the wok trivet. The
cookware or wok could tip and cause personal
injury.

and do not hit the top plate with
heavy objects.
CAUTION
It is not to use roasting pans, frying pans or
grill stones heated simultaneously several
burners because the resulting heat build-up
may damage the appliance.
Do not touch the top plate and trivet whilst in
use for a certain period after use.
NOTE
As soon as a liquid starts boiling, turn down
the flame so that it will barely keep the liquid
simmering.

Cleaning and maintenance
CAUTION
Cleaning operations must only be carried out
when the appliance is completely cool.
The appliance should be disconnected from
your mains supply before commencing any
cleaning process.
Clean the appliance regularly, preferably after
each use.
Trivets
Take off the trivets.
Clean these with a damp cloth, washing up
liquid and warm water. For stubbon soiling, soak
beforehand.
Dry everything with a clean soft cloth.
Control Knobs and Decor Rings
Clean or rinse the control knobs and decor rings by
using a damp cloth. Use mild soap and water or a
50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Use clean water
for rinsing.
The control knob and decor ring may be removed for
easier cleaning.
Make sure the knobs are in the OFF position and pull
them straight off the stems for cleaning.

To reinstall the knobs, make sure each the knob has
the OFF position aligned and slide the knob directly
onto the valve shaft.
NOTE
To prevent mis-operation during cleaning the
control knobs, Unplug your gas hob.
Do not use abrasive cleansers, strong liquid
cleaners, plastic scouring pads or oven
cleaners on the control knobs - they can cause
damage to the finish of the knobs.
Do not try to bend knobs by pulling them up
or down or by hanging a towel or other such
loads. This can damage the gas valve shaft.
Top plate
ONLY use Ceramic Glass Cleaner. Other creams
may not be as effective or they might damage the
surface with scratches or permanent staining.
To maintain and protect the ceramic top plate, follow
these steps:

Before using the gas hob for the first time, clean
it with Ceramic Glass Cleaner. This helps protect
the top and makes cleanup easier.

Daily use of Ceramic Glass Cleaner will help
keep the gas hob looking new.

Shake the cleaning cream well. Apply a few
drops of Cleaner directly to the top plate.

Use a paper towel to clean the entire top plate
surface.

Rinse with clear water and use a dry cloth or
paper towel to remove all cleaning residue.
NOTE
It is very important that you DO NOT heat the gas
hob until it has been cleaned thoroughly.
CAUTION
DO NOT use scrub pads or abrasive
cleaning pads. They may damage the ceramic
top plate.
For your safety please wear an oven mitt
potholder while cleaning the hot cooking
surface.
Cleaning the burned-on residue

Remove burnt-on deposits or spilled food
from the glass-ceramic cooking surface.
Use a suitable metal razor scraper held at
approximately a 30-degree angle to the top
plate. The scraper will not damage the cooking
surface.
NOTE
Do not use a dull or nicked blade. For your
safety, please wear an oven mitt potholder
while using the metal scraper.

apply a few drops of a ceramic glass cleaner in
each burner area and work the cleaning cream
over the top plate surface with a damp paper
towel as if you were cleaning a window.

As a final step, clean with clear water and wipe
the top plate surface with a clean, dry paper
towel.
IMPORTANT
If any sugar or food containing sugar (preserves,
ketchup, tomato sauce, jellies, fudge, candy,
syrups, chocolate, etc.), a plastic item or kitchen foil
accidentally melts on the hot surface of the top plate,
remove the molten material IMMEDIATELY with a
metal razor scraper while the cooking surface is
still hot to avoid the risk of damage to the glass-
ceramic surface. For your safety please wear
an oven mitt potholder while cleaning the hot
cooking surface.
Metal Marks and Scratches

Be careful not to slide pots and pans across the
top plate. It will leave metal markings on the top
plate surface. These marks are removable using
the Ceramic Glass Cleaner with the Cleaning
Pad for Ceramic Glass.

If pots with a thin overlay of aluminum or copper
are allowed to boil dry, the overlay may leave
black discoloration on the top plate. This should
be removed immediately before heating again or
the discoloration may be permanent.
Burners
Remove the burner caps and burner heads by
pulling them upwards and away from the top plate.
Soak them in hot water and a little detergent or
washing up liquid.
After cleaning and washing them, wipe and dry
them carefully. Make sure that the flame holes are
clean and completely dry.
Wipe the fixed parts of the burner body with a damp
cloth and dry afterwards.
Gently wipe the ignition device and flame
supervision device with a well wrung-out cloth and
wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Before placing the burners back on the top plate,
make sure that the nozzle is not blocked.
WARNING
If burner head and cap are not dried completely
and aren’t reassembled correctly, the status of
flame can be strange.
Re-assemble the burners as follows:

Place the burner head (4) on to the burner body
(5) so that the ignition device (6) and the flame
supervision device (7) extend through their
respective holes in the burner head. The burner
head must click into place correctly.

Position the burner cap (1, 2, 3) onto the burner
head (4) so that the retaining pins fit into their
respective recesses.

CAUTION
Replace parts in the correct order after
cleaning.
Do not mix up the top and bottom.
The locating pins must fit exactly into the
notches.

However, some minor problems can be resolved as follows :

Turn off burner knob. Wait one minute and reignite burner.
A strong draught may have blown the flame out.
Please turn off burner and check cooking area for draught such as open
windows. Wait one minute and reignite burner.
Burners have yellow or
yellow-tipped flames
The combustion quality of burner flames needs to be determined visually.
- Use the illustrations below to determine if your burner flames are normal. If
burner flames look like A, call for service.
Normal burner flames should look like B or C, depending on the type of gas
you use. With LP gas, some yellow tipping on outer cones is normal.
