• It is not recommended that the Kettle be used with an extension lead. If this cannot be
avoided, ensure that the extension lead is of the correct rating.
• As the Kettle becomes hot during use, take care when handling it and use only the handle to
lift.
• Do not tilt the kettle backwards when filling or carrying it.
• Do not pour from the kettle while it is switched on.
• The Kettle should be used only as instructed and for the purpose for which it was intended;
there is potential for injury or damage from misuse.
• Do not use the Kettle with a timer or programming device.
• Do not switch on or attempt to operate the Kettle if it appears to be faulty in any way.
• Should the Kettle accidentally fall into water, unplug immediately and do not use.
BEFORE USING THE SY-CAL71
1. Take the appliance out of the packaging
2. Wash the inside of the kettle body with liquid detergent and warm water, rinse and dry.
3. Wipe the outside of the kettle body with a cloth, using liquid detergent and warm water.
4. Wash the lid in liquid detergent and warm water.
DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE KETTLE IN WATER; EXCEPT THE LID. IF YOU TRAVEL
TO ANOTHER LOCATION, CHECK THE MAINS SUPPLY VOLTAGE, FAILURE TO DO SO MAY
RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE KETTLE
USING THE SY-CAL71
Frothing milk / Stirring Milk
1. Place the frother (7) or Mixer (6) on the axle (8).
2. Pour the milk into the jug (1) (always make sure not to surpass the MAX marking on the interior
of the unit) and place the lid on top (4).
3. Press the frothing switch (3b).
4. The appliance switches off by itself when the milk is frothed up.
Frothing milk + warming
1. Place the frother (7) on the axle (8).
2. Pour the milk into the jug (1) (always make sure not to surpass the MAX marking on the interior
of the unit) and place the lid on top (4).
3. Press the switch (3a).
4. The frothing process begins and this will stop automatically when the milk is heated and frothed
up to 65ºC.
Warming + Stirring milk.
1. Place the mixer (6) on the axle (8).
2. Pour the milk into the jug (1) (always make sure not to surpass the MAX marking on the interior
of the unit) and place the lid on top (4).
3. Press switch (3a).
4. The appliance will switch off by itself when the milk is heated up to 65 degrees.
Tips:
·With small amounts of milk (always make sure to follow the MIN-indication inside the jug) you will
get a better result.
·Use preferably cappuccino-milk (available in any supermarket) or whole milk.
·For firmer milk foam, do the process one more time.
·For variation try anise milk or chocolate milk (or milk with a spoonful of cocoa powder).
