Car Cover
Warnings
● Always store the car cover in a dry location. The car cover must be stored dry to prevent mould from
developing. For maximum performance, never place a cover on a wet vehicle.
● Keep the car cover away from open flames, sparks and excessive heat.
● Should a tear occur, repair it immediately to prevent further damage.
● Cover a clean car only. Dust and dirt between the cover and the vehicle’s finish can cause scratches,
swirls and dulling.
● When storing a vehicle indoors, it’s very important to ensure that proper airflow is present. The movement
of air allows moisture to evaporate through the cover.
● Should the cover freeze to the vehicle, thaw the cover using warm water.
● A car cover should never be placed over a freshly painted vehicle. Please allow three to six months for the
finish to properly cure before covering the vehicle.
● Do not cover the tail pipe or exhaust. If your car cover will be coming in contact with the vehicle’s exhaust
pipe, allow it to cool before using the cover.
● A car cover should never be used to cover a convertible when the top is down.
● Do not spread the cover across an open sunroof.
● Do not use the cover when trailering a vehicle. Use of a cover during transportation will void the warranty.
IMPORTANT: Prolonged exposure to UV rays, heat and salt can accelerate deterioration, and will be
considered normal wear and tear.
IMPORTANT: This car cover is designed to be water repellent but breathable. It will not prevent moisture
from reaching the surface of your vehicle. Covers that do not breathe will trap moisture and can contribute to
the development of rust and the clouding of paint.
Installation:
IMPORTANT: Take great care when putting the car cover on your vehicle. Do not force or stretch it over
sharp objects such as hood ornaments and license plates.
When using the car cover for the first time, it may be necessary to make a hole in it to accommodate the
vehicle’s radio antenna.
If possible, retract the antenna. If this is not possible you may be able to remove the antenna. (See the
owner’s manual for instructions.)
Place the elasticized end that says FRON T around the front of the vehicle. Pullthe rest of the car cover to
the back of the vehicle.
Using a ballpoint pen, mark the position of the antenna.
Using a pair of scissors or a hole punch, cut out a round hole. IMPOR TANT: It is extremely important that
the hole be as clean and round as possible to prevent tearing.
After the hole has been made, place an adhesive-backed reinforcement on either side of the cover ,around
the hole. A patch may be sewn onto the car cover for reinforcement.
When putting the car cover on your vehicle, it may be easier to place the cover over the antenna first,
before covering the rest of the vehicle.
In order to secure your cover to the vehicle, lace a rope through the plastic grommets at the bottom of the
cover and securely tie them together.
Fitting
This cover is designed to be a universal-fit product, with each size covering a variety of makes and models of
vehicle. While this cover is designed to protect the entire vehicle, covering approximately half of the wheels,
the fit will differ between makes and models of car. If more or less coverage of the vehicle is desired, select
the next larger or smaller size.
Cleaning
For hand washing small areas, use a 1-gallon (4 L) bucket of lukewarm water. Do not use soap or a cleaning
solution that could impair the performance of the product. With a clean, soft brush slowly clean the fabric
from top to bottom in a back-and-forth motion. Rinse the back of the fabric as well. Air/line dry the car cover.
Automatic dryers are not recommended. Do not use any type of heat during the drying process.
Warranty
Please refer to the chart below to determine the warranty period of your product.
These products are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials. Trileaf Distribution agrees
to replace the defective products free of charge within the stated warranty period, when returned by the
original purchaser with proof of purchase. This product is not guaranteed against wear or breakage due to
misuse and/or abuse.
