intotheundersideofthefrontandrearstabilizers.
Threadallthewayin.
2. Removetheeight(8)hexbolts(F1),eight(8)lock
washers(F2),four(4)flatwashers(F3)andfour(4)
curved
washers(F4)fromrearframeassemblyBandset
aside.
3. Removethetwo(2)hexboltsG1fromtheleftandright
sidesoftheconsolemastassembly(C)andsetaside.
4. Standtherearframeassembly(B)rightside
upandlaytheconsole
mastassembly(C)
nearby.JoinconnectorsDandEfirmlyto
ensureagoodconnection.
5. CarefullystandconsolemastassemblyC
uprightandjoinwiththerearframe
assembly(B).Ensurerearassembly(B)isfully
insertedintotheconsolemastreceiver(C)by
confirmingthe
boltholesarealigned.
6. Looselyinstallfour(4)setsofpartsF1,F2and
F3intothesidesofconsolemastassemblyB
andfour(4)setsofpartsF1,F2&F4intothe
topandundersideofthemastassemblyas
perthefiguretothe
left.Onceallboltsare
partiallyinstalled,tighteneachfirmlywith
theenclosedhexwrench.

L1),joinconnectorsL4withM1andL5withM2.
20. Reinstallthefour(4)Philipsmachinescrews(L6)throughthe
undersideofthetiltingconsolehingeplate(M3)andintothe
correctholesinthebacksideoftheconsoleL1.
21. Alignthehingecover(L2
)withtheappropriateholesinthebackof
theconsole.Reinstallthetwo(2)Philipswoodscrews(L3).
22. UpperhandlebarsN1andN2arepackagedwithredhexboltsN3
installed.RemoveboltsN3frombothhandlebarsandsetaside.
23. Opentheredquickreleaselevers(
O)onthelowerhandlebars(H6&
H7)andslidetheleft(N2)andright(N1)upperhandlebarsintothe
properreceivers.
24. RotatethehandlebarsN2andN1untilthreadedholeisvisible.
Reinstalltheredhexscrewsintoeachside.
25. Setthehandlebarsto
thedesiredpositionandclosethe
quickreleaselevers(O).Ensurethehandlebarsare
firmlyfixed.
26. Placethewaterbottle(P)intotheholder.
27. Plugthepoweradapter(Q)intoa120voltoutlet.Plug
theotherendintotheinputjack(R).
28. Check
thestabilityoftheunit.Ifrequired,adjustthe
levelingfeettoeliminateanyrockingoftheunitwhilein
use.Lockthefeetinplacebytighteningthenutupward
(counterclockwise)againsttheframe.

FINALINSTALLATION
Uponcompletionoftheassemblysteps,itmaybenecessarytomovetheunit.The900Eris
equippedwithanintegratedtransportwheelwhichisrecessedintothefrontoftheframe.To
movetheunit,lifttherearframe,usingthehandhold.Lifttherearendupwarduntilthe
wheels
touchthefloor,andcarefullyrolltheunitintoposition.
Plugtheunitintoapoweroutlet.
Ensuretheunitisstablebyadjustingthelevelingfeet.
CUSTOMUSERADJUSTMENTS‐DiamondbackNaturalAlignment(DNA)
Withthe900Ernowassembledandsetintoplace,theuserspecificsettingshouldbeadjusted.DiamondbackFitnessrecognizes
thefactthateachbodyisunique.Severalbuiltinfeaturesallowtheusertofinetunethefitofthe900Erforamoreergonomic
andcomfortableworkout.Wecallthese
featuresDiamondbackNaturalAlignmentorDNA.
VariableWidthFootbeds
Thevariablewidthfootbedsaredesignedtoaccommodatethe
widthofanindividual’spelvis.Awiderpelvistypicallyindicates
thebodyrequiresawidergaitorstance.The900Erallowsthe
usertoadjustthewidthofthefootbedsfrom1.7”
(4.3cm)wide
to3.2”(8.1cm)tomorecloselymatchtheirnaturalalignment
andmechanics.
Toadjustthefootbeds,removethesix(6)clearplasticfootbedcapsandsetaside.Loosenthesix
(6)hexboltsuntilthefootbedsmovesfreely.Thereisnoreasontocompletelyremovethe
bolts.
Alignthefootbedstothedesiredpositionasindicatedbythemarkingsonthefootbedliner.
Refixthefootbedsbytighteningthesix(6)hexbolts.Reinstallthesix(6)footbedcaps.

TiltingConsole
Toensureusersofeverystaturecanmaintainaclearandhighlyvisibleviewoftheconsole,the900Er
featuresatiltingconsole.Hingedatthebottom,adjustthedisplaybygrippingthetopandrotatingthe
entireconsoleforeandaftuntilthedesiredviewingangleisachieved.

AdjustableWidthHandlebars
Theadjustablewidthhandlebarsaredesignedto
accommodateanindividual’sbodymechanics.Rather
thanattemptingtoadjusttheuser’snaturalmotionto
onethatisfixedandinflexible,the900Eroffersa
customizedfit.Thethreehandlebarpositionsallowthe
widthtobeadjustedwitharange
of9.5”(24.1cm)and
anadjustablereachwith7.5”(19.0cm)offoreaftadjustment.
Toadjustthebars,opentheredquickreleaseleversontheleftandrightpivots.Selectthedesired
positionandresetthequickreleaselever.Thepressurerequiredtolockthelevershould
besufficientto
removeanymovementofthehandlebar.Adjustmentoftheleverissimilartoanutandbolt.Holdthe
leverintheopenpositionandrotatethenutontheoppositeendclockwisetotightenandcounter
clockwisetoloosen.Whileholdingthehandlebarinthedesireposition,
closethelever.Theamountof
pressurerequiredtoproperlylockthelevershouldleaveanimpressioninthepalmoftheuser’shand.
Note: Alwaysensuretheadjustablehandlebarsarefirmlyfixedpriortoanyworkoutsessionas
injurycanoccur.

HeartRateisanImportantKeytoYourExercise
TheSurgeonGeneralalsoreleasedareportonphysicalactivityandhealth.Thisreportdictatesthatexerciseandfitnessare
beneficialforaperson’shealthandnotedtheneedforexerciseasakeycomponentfordiseaseprevention
andhealthyliving.
Thebestwaytodetermineexerciseintensityistomonitoryourpulserate.Yourheartratecaneasilybedeterminedbycounting
thenumberofheartbeatsperminuteatthechest,wristorthecarotidarteryonyourneck.Itisdifficulthowevertocountyour
ownpulsewhileexercisingasitisnotpossibletoaccuratelytrackthenumberofbeatsperminute.TheDiamondbackFitness
900Erisequippedwithasetoftouchheartratesensorsaswellasawirelessreceiverformonitoringyourheartrate.
UsingtheTouchHeartRateSensors
Whilethe
unitispoweredonandaworkoutprogramisoperating,gentlygraspbothtouchheartratesensorsonthefixed
handlebarbelowtheconsole.Thecomputerwilldetectyourpulserateandregisterthevalueasatwo(2)orthree(3)digit
numberinthePulsewindowonthe
LCDdisplay.
NOTE: Ifaninconsistentheartrateisdisplayedwhileusingthehandpulsesensors:
Ensurethepalmsofbothhandsaretouchingthecontactareasofthetouchheart
ratesensors.
Applyandmaintainconstantandevenpressureuponthegrips.
Donotclutchthetouch
heartratesensorstightly.
Trytokeepbothhandsstillwhilegripingthetouchheartratesensor.
UsingtheWirelessHeartRateReceiver
Awirelesstelemetryheartratereceivingsystemisonefeaturefoundonthe900Er.Inorderfortheconsoletodetectanddisplay
yourheartrate,
four(4)conditionsmustbepresent:
Acompatibleheartratecheststraptransmitter(notincluded)mustbefunctioningandworn.Forproperfunctionofthe

Aworkoutprogrammustberunning.

Ingeneral,awirelessheartratecheststrapisthemoreaccurateandconvenientmethodofdetectingandmonitoringaheart
ratesignal.Theuserisnotrequiredtogripthetouchheartratesensorsandtheunitwillcontinuouslydisplaythedetectedheart
ratenomatterwherethehandsare
placed.
YourEstimatedMaximumHeartRate&TargetTrainingZone
Yourcalculatedtargetheartrate,ortheidealintensityneededtoimprovecardiovascularfitness,dependsprimarilyuponyour
ageratherthanyourcurrentstateoffitness.Iftheexerciseintensityistoolowortoohigh,onlymodestgainswill
bemadein
strengthandcardiovascularfitness.A workoutataverylowintensitywillnotoffermaximumbenefits.Conversely,ifthe
workoutintensityistoohigh,injuryorfatiguemayslowtheprogressionofyourexercisegoalsasthebodyattemptstorecover.
Itismosteffectivetotrainat
aheartratebetween60%and85%ofyourmaximumheartrate.Maximumheartrateiscalculated
as220beatsperminuteminusyourage.
Tocalculateyourmaximumheartrateandfindtheappropriatetargettrainingzone,usethefollowingformulas.Forexample,

WORKOUTQUALITYANDQUANTITY
Itisrecommendedthatyouaccumulateatleastthirty(30)minutesofphysicalactivitymostdaysoftheweek.TheAmerican
CollegeofSportsMedicinemakesthefollowingrecommendationsforthequantityandqualityoftrainingfordevelopingand
maintainingcardiorespiratoryfitnessinhealthyadults:
Anactivitythatuseslargemusclegroups,maintainedcontinuously,andisrhythmicalandaerobicinnature.
Duration: 20to60minutesofcontinuousaerobicactivity,includingawarmupandcooldownperiodforeach
session.
Frequency: 3to5timesperweek.
Intensity: 60%to85%
ofmaximumheartrate.
Inadditiontoaerobicexercise,strengthtrainingofmoderateintensitytwiceperweekisrecommended.Womenespeciallymay
benefitfromweightbearingexercises.Selectactivitiesyouenjoyandcanfitintodailylife.HavingDiamondbackFitness
equipmentathomeoffersyoutheopportunitytoworkout
withoutgoingtothegym.
GetaSmartStartonExercising
Anyoneovertheageof35,aswellasyoungerpersonswhomareoverweight,shouldcheckwithhis/herphysicianbefore
commencinganexerciseprogram.Personswhohavediabetesorhighbloodpressure,afamilyhistoryofheartdisease,high
cholesterol
orhaveledsedentarylifestylesshouldprotectthemselveswithamedicalcheckupandstresstestadministeredbya
healthcareprofessional.
Stretchingandmassagingmajormuscles(suchasyourquadriceps)followingaworkoutsessionwillaidinthe
dissipationoflacticacidandspeedyourbody’srecovery.
The
firstfewminutesofyourworkoutshouldbedevotedtowarmingupthemusclesbeforeavigorousworkout.
Concentrateonraisingyourheartrateslowly.
Afteranaerobicworkoutofroughly2030minutes,spend10minutesgraduallyreducingyourheartratebymoving
slowerorwithlessresistance.
