MMS Settings for using the EBGD87 on
The Orange network
In order to send and receive MMS messages from your Panasonic EBGD87
to other compatible MMS handsets, you must first make sure that: 1. You
subscribe to an MMS- package. 2. You have your SIM data enabled. 3. You
have GPRS set-up with your airtime provider. Their telephone number will
be on your phone bill. The above settings are necessary to send and
receive MMS messages on the Orange network
Step-by-step guide to configure your GD87
1. From the main display screen, press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu
2. Scroll right once using the Navigation key, to Messages and press the Central Navigation
key to Select.
3. Scroll down to MMS and press the Central Navigation key to Select.
4. Scroll down to Server List and press the Central Navigation key to select.
5. Scroll down to an unused profile to use (e.g. <1>). Press the Central Navigation key once to
enter Menu.
6. Scroll down to Edit and press the Central Navigation key to select.
7. Press the Central Navigation key to Edit the Profile Name.
Before entering any characters make sure that text mode 'ABC', 'Abc' or 'abc' is displayed at the
bottom left of the screen. If it is not visible, press the Left Soft Key repeatedly until 'abc' is
displayed. To toggle between upper and lower case characters press the *? key.
8. Enter Orange MMS. This name is not critical but all other settings must be entered exactly
as shown below. Use the C key to delete any unwanted characters.
9. Press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu and press the Central Navigation key to
select Ok. The confirmation message 'Server List Updated' will be displayed on the screen
10. Scroll down once to Server URL and press the Central Navigation key to enter Edit
11. Enter http://mms.orange.co.uk/ (lower case). Use the C key to delete any unwanted
characters.

12. Press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu and press the Central Navigation key to
select Ok. The confirmation message 'Server List Updated' will be displayed on the screen
13. Scroll down once to Gateway IP and press the Central Navigation key to enter Edit.
14. Enter 192.168.224.010
15. Press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu and press the Central Navigation key to
select Ok. The confirmation message 'Server List Updated' will be displayed on the screen.
16. Scroll down once to Bearer Type and press the Central Navigation key to enter Select.
17. Scroll to highlight the GPRS position and press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu
18. Scroll down once to Edit and press the Central Navigation key to enter Edit.
19. Press the Central Navigation key to enter the Edit for the Access Point Name position.
20. Enter orangemms (lower case). Use the C key to delete any unwanted characters.
21. Press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu and press the Central Navigation key to
select Ok. The confirmation message 'Server List Updated' will be displayed on the screen.
22. Scroll down to User ID and press the Central Navigation key to enter Edit.
23. Enter Orange (the “O” must be a capital letter). Use the C key to delete any unwanted
characters.
24. Press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu and press the Central Navigation key to
select Ok. The confirmation message 'Server List Updated' will be displayed on the screen.
25. Scroll down to User Password and press the Central Navigation key to enter Edit.
26. Enter Multimedia (the “M” must be a capital letter). Use the C key to delete any unwanted
characters.
27. Press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu and press the Central Navigation key to
select Ok. The confirmation message 'Server List Updated' will be displayed on the screen.
28. Scroll down once to Authentication and press the Central Navigation key. Select Normal
and press the Central Navigation key to enter.
29. Press the C key once to return to the GPRS position being highlighted.
30. Press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu and scroll down once to select Set and
press the Central Navigation key. The confirmation message 'Server List Updated' will be
displayed on the screen.
31. Press the C key once to return to the Orange MMS option being highlighted.
32. Press the Central Navigation key to enter Menu and scroll down once to select Set and
press the Central Navigation key. The confirmation message 'Server List Updated' will be
displayed on the screen.
33. Press the C key three times to return to the main display screen.
