Using Program Shift and Aperture Priority on the DMC-L1 when a lens with no

aperture ring is used.

1. Program Shift

• Attach the lens and ensure that the shutter speed dial is set to the Auto option.

• The display will indicate that you are in ‘P’ (Program Shift mode), half press the shutter

button to display the shutter and aperture being used.

• You can then use the ‘Thumb wheel’ (A) to adjust the aperture and shutter combination.

2. Aperture Priority

• To switch to Aperture Priority you need to press the ‘Function 1’ button.

• To adjust the aperture setting use the ‘Thumb Wheel’ (A)

• To return to ‘P’ mode increase the aperture until the screen indicates ‘P’ Mode.

• To store any of these settings press the ‘Function 1’ button or the ‘Shutter Button’
