GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF REFRIGERATOR
AND FREEZER OPERATION
This integrated fridge freezer is electronically controlled, so you can adjust the temperature
independently for the refrigerator and freezer compartments.
With the buttons (1) and (2) activated, the displays (5) and (10), indicating the refrigerator and
freezer temperatures, are lit.
The product also allows for the refrigerator compartment to be switched off separately with only
the freezer compartment operating. If button (1) is pressed whilst button (2) is off, the display (10)
is turned on while (5) is off.
For technical reasons it is not possible to switch off the freezer compartment with only the
refrigerator compartment operating.
This appliance is a
star integrated fridge-freezer.
Defrosting the refrigerator compartment is fully automatic.
The product can function at an ambient temperature between +10°C and +38°C. Optimum
performance depends on the climatic class, indicated on the serial plate.
Initial operation of the appliance and setting the temperature.
Plug it in.
The ideal temperatures for food storage are already set at the factory before purchase. When you
turn on the appliance for the first time, the acoustic signal sounds and the red light (13) flashes as
the inside of the freezer is not yet cold enough to introduce food.
It is possible to mute the acoustic signal by pressing button (14) on the control panel. Place the
food in the freezer only when the red warning light has stopped.
Notice:
The ambient temperature, frequency of opening the door and the location of the appliance can
affect the temperature inside the two compartments. Setting the thermostat should vary according
to these factors.
How to store food in the refrigerator compartment

The value shown on the display shows the warmest temperature that the freezer compartment has
reached.
Check the food in the event that the value displayed is warmer than -9°C (for example, -8°C).
Notice:
The freezer compartment is able to maintain the appropriate temperature for the storage of food,
even in case of power failure. We recommend, however, during that period, to avoid opening the
compartment door.
Important:
For maximum storage time for frozen fresh foods, refer to the table on the right.
When buying frozen food, make sure that:

FOOD
7
Defrost the freezer 1 or 2 times a year or when the formation of ice on the grills is
excessive.

accumulation varies depending on the environmental conditions and the frequency of
door opening and tends to accumulate on the higher level grills.
It is recommended to defrost the freezer when it is nearly empty.
1. Press button (1) to turn off the appliance (refrigerator and
freezer).
2. Open the freezer door and remove all food, wrapping
it tightly in newspaper and store it in a cool place or in
a cool bag and leave the freezer door open to allow the
frost to melt.
3. Insert the drain into the slot for the defrost water and place
a container under the drain (see drawing).
4. Clean the inside of the freezer with a damp sponge soaked
in warm water and/or detergent.
Do not use abrasive detergents.
5. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
6. Remove the drain.
7. Close the freezer door.

possible by removing the drawers.
Arrange food directly on the grill shelves.
Check that after inserting the food, the freezer compartment door closes properly.

Clean the refrigerator compartment regularly.
Defrosting the refrigerator compartment is fully automatic.
The presence of water droplets on the rear wall of the refrigerator
compartment indicates the automatic defrost phase. The defrost
water is automatically routed to a drain hole, then into a container
from which it evaporates.
Regularly clean the inside of the defrost water drain hole, using
the tool supplied, to ensure the constant and correct flow of the
defrost water.
To clean the refrigerator compartment:
1. Press button (2) on the control panel.
2. Empty the refrigerator compartment.
3. Clean the inside of the refrigerator with a damp sponge
soaked in warm water and/or detergent.
Do not use abrasive detergents.
4. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
5. Press button (2) again to restore the functioning of the
refrigerator compartment.
Notice:
For extended periods of time and to prevent the formation
of mould, odours and oxidation, it is advisable to keep the
refrigerator door open when not in use.
