As flamboyant as their tropical American ancestry, cannas are
among the most colorful summer bulbs with ruffled spikes
tapering to refined buds, boasting immense, paddle shaped
leaves. Their great reedy canes and palmy foliage make for
large, magnificent plants, yielding blooms all summer long for
long lasting curb appeal. They are deer resistant and appear
most dramatic when grouped in masses. These are fast
growers with large flowers.

About This Variety: Canna Stuttgart is a most spectacular variegated canna. It was discovered in Germany hence
its name. What makes this canna so unique are its blocks of white variegation on its leaves. Where the green and
white blocks come together there will also be some shades of blue green and silver. Sometimes these blocks will
turn more yellow. The flowers are pale apricot. A partially shaded spot will help protect its leaves from sun burn.
Growing Instructions: Where not hardy, plant outdoors in early summer 2” deep, setting the rhizome in the hole,
‘eyes’ (shoots) up. Cannas do best with a good supply of water.
Care Tip: As flowers fade, deadhead to promote continued flowering. They like moist conditions.
Exposure: Full sun to partial shade
Height: Grows 84” tall
Spacing: Plant 18-24” apart, 2-4” deep
Hardy in: USDA zones 8-10
