Before Your First Use
Your Wolfgang Puck Juice Press comes assembled straight out of the
box. We suggest disassembling and washing the parts according to the
Care and Cleaning section of this manual.
Introduction To Your Juice Press
The Wolfgang Puck Juice Press differs from high RPM juice extractors by
allowing you to juice soft fruits and vegetables in addition to hard fibrous
types. The traditional Juice Extractor method uses a high-speed rotation
method. The heat generated by the friction of blades rotating at high
speed can change the quality of various food nutrients and too much air
can be mixed in, thus accelerating oxidation. The Slow Grinding Juicer
features a breakthrough design in juicing technology by utilizing low-
speed Auger that presses the food to extract the juice.

Assembling Your Juice Press Using Your Juice Press
Start with the
Strainer.
Insert the Strainer
into the Rotating
Brush.
Insert the Strainer
and Rotating Brush
into the Bowl.
Tip - Make sure
the red dot on the
Strainer is aligned
with the red dot on
the Bowl.
Insert the Auger
into the Strainer.
Push down until
the Auger is flush
with the Strainer.
Place the Bowl onto the Juice Press
Motor Base. Lock the unit in place from
right to left.
Place the Hopper on top of the unit, making sure to align the red dot on the
Strainer with the red dot on the Hopper. Slide the Hopper from right to left,
locking the Bowl in place.
Once all parts are securely in place, plug the power cord into a
standard 120v AC outlet.
Place the Pulp Container under the Pulp Chute and a container to
accept juice under the Juice Spout.
The Juice Press Power Button has 3 settings:
Before placing food in the Juice Press, make sure the food has been
thoroughly washed. Cut food to appropriate size to fit within the
Hopper. Make sure to remove any large, hard seeds or pits, such
as cherry or plum pits, as it will not process in the Juicer and can
damage the Auger.
When food is placed in the Hopper, the Auger will automatically pull
the food in and begin juicing immediately. To avoid overheating the
motor, DO NOT push, force, or overstuff the Hopper. The Pusher
provided with the Juice Press should only be used if food is not
progressing down the Hopper.
It is best to insert food at a slow pace, allowing all pulp to be
extracted from the fruit or vegetable completely.
NOTE: Make sure to switch the Juice Press off when juicing is
complete. Do not run the Juice Press without any food inside for
longer than 1 minute as this could overheat the motor.
To rinse the Juice Press between different types of juices keep the
Pulp Container in place and put an empty container under the Juice
Spout. Pour water through the Hopper while the unit is on. This
will rinse most of the remaining residue from your last juicing cycle.
When the water from the Juice Press begins to run clear, the unit is
rinsed and ready to make a new juice recipe.
NOTE: This process is not an alternative to a complete cleaning of
each disassembled part once all juicing has been completed.
When using the Juice Press for juice, make sure to leave the Spout
Cap open and use the appropriate strainer.
a. ON - this starts the motor for juicing
b. OFF - this stops the opration
c. REV - this moves the Auger in
the opposite direction

Using Your Juice Press
for Frozen Fruit
Insert the Strainer marked with "Frozen Fruit" for your frozen fruit
treat and follow the same instructions on page 8 and 9.
Peel overripe bananas and freeze for 24 hours before use.
Recommended frozen fruits:
- Ripe bananas
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Blackberries
- Raspberries
- Mango chunks
- Pineapple cunks
- Kiwi
Prior to freezing fruit, cut to size that fits within the Hopper and
always remove peels before freezing your fruits.
IMPORTANT: Do not use nuts, fruit with pits or ice cubes.
Pieces of frozen chocolate may be added.
When using more than one fruit, it's recommended to alternate the
fruits or chocolate to ensure an even mixture.
Apply steady and light pressure on the Pusher to ensure proper
consistency.
Slow Juicing Tips
Please read the instruction manual carefully and follow the below
juicing suggestions for best results. A Juice Press operates differently
than high RPM juice extractors or citrus juicers.
Carefully drop food into the Hopper. The Pusher provided is only to
use if food is jammed and obstructs the inside of the Hopper. Do not
over-stuff or force food that is too large down the Hopper.
For best juicing results, cut food into pieces that are no larger than
the opening of the Hopper.
Insert foods slowly into Hopper to allow pulp and juice to be
processed efficiently.
Combine leafy greens with a variety of fruit for a better flavor profile
and easier processing.
Please read the enclosed recipes included with the Juice Press or use
your own creative ideas based on the guidelines found in this manual.
To avoid damaging your Juice Press do not operate for more than
1 minute without processing food.
Do not attempt to juice any hard materials including large seeds
(seeds which cannot be swallowed or chewed), pits, or ice.
Only use the Pusher If food gets stuck in the Hopper, use of spatulas
or other utensils could severely damage the appliance.
Do not use the juicer continuously for more than 30 minutes.
Figure 7
NOTE: Under the Bowl there is a silicone
pad (Figure 7) that prevents juice from
exiting though the Pulp Chute. When using
the Juice Press, make sure the silicone pad
is firmly in place. When cleaning the Bowl,
make sure to slide the pad out and run
water through the Pulp Chute to remove
excess food particles. The opposite side of
the cleaning brush can also be used to push
residual pulp during cleaning.
10 11
Care and Cleaning
Switch the Power Button to the off position and unplug from the
wall outlet.
Disassemble the Bowl in the following order:
Turn the Hopper counterclockwise to unlock (Figure 8)
Twist the Bowl counterclockwise to the unlock position and Remove
from the Motor Base, remove Auger, Strainer, AND Scraper by lifting
up an out of the Bowl.
Using the included Cleaning Brush, thoroughly clean each of the
disassembled parts using warm soapy water. Remember to slide
open the silicone pad under the Bowl to clean the remaining pulp
particles in the Pulp Chute. Please Note:
Hand washing is recommended for all components of the upper unit.
Please do not place any parts of the Juice Press in the dishwasher.

Care and Cleaning (cont.)
For Tough Stains
Because there are many powerful staining properties of the carotenoids
that are found in many vegetables, especially carrots, we suggest using
one of the following cleaning procedures to help remove stubborn stains
from parts excluding the Motor Base.
Soak in mild soapy water
Soak in equal parts warm water to cider vinegar
Soak using one half box of baking soda and warm water
Soak in 1/2 cup bleach in sink filled with warm water

Other Cleaning Tips
Never use strong household cleaners, ammonia, or abrasives while
cleaning the Juice Press.
Cleaning the Juice Press immediately after each use will make
cleaning easier and will help reduce staining on the Bowl and upper
parts.

Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
Machine does
not operate
Machine jams/clogs
or stops operating
Squeeking noise
when juicing
Leaking from
underneath the bowl
Strainer Damaged
Too much pulp
coming out
Bowl is stuck and
will not detach from
the base
Food Chute/Lid is stuck
SOLUTION
Check power cord and
power source.
Check that all parts have been
assembled correctly.
Check Hopper is clear and not blocked.
Check that large hard seeds have been
removed before juicing and are not stuck
in the machine.
Turn machine off and switch to reverse
for 3 seconds.
Disassemble Bowl section and clear
remaining pulp.
Motor is overheated. Turn power switch
to off position and unplug from wall
outlet. Wait 15 minutes before restarting.
Squeaking sound is normal, however do
not run the machine without any food.
Be sure the silicone pad is tightly in
place after cleaning.
Refer to this use & care guide for proper
usage and juicing tips. Remember not to
overstuff food or force food down the
Hopper.
Cut food into smaller pieces, especially
fibrous foods to avoid fibers wrapping
around the Auger. Insert food at a slower
pace and allow all food pulp to eject
from the unit before adding more.
This is commonly caused by excess food
in the Bowl. Press the reverse button for
3-5 seconds. Repeat process 2 -3 times.
Then push Bowl slightly upward while
turning counterclockwise.
Press the reverse button for 3-5 seconds.
Repeat process 2 -3 times. You can then
press down on the top of the Hopper
while turning counterclockwise.
