Contact your local water board for information on the hardness of your water supply.
If your model does not have any water softener, you may skip this section.

1. The salt container must only be refilled when the salt warning light in the control panel comes on.
Depending on how well the salt dissolve s, the salt warning light may still be on even though the
salt container is filled.
If there is no salt w arning light in the con trol panel (for some Models),you can estimate when to fill
the salt into the softener by the cycles that the dishwasher has run.
2.
I f salt has spilled, run a soak or qu ick program to r emove it.
Always use salt intended for dishwasher use.
The salt container is located beneath the lower basket and should be filled as explained
in t he following:
Warning!
Only use salt spe cifically designed for d ishwashers use! Every other type o f
salt not specifically desig ned fo r dishwasher use, especially table salt, will
damage the w ater softener. In case of damages caused by the use of unsuitable
salt the manufacturer does not give any warranty nor is liable for any damages caused.
Only fill with salt just before sta rting one of the co mplete washing programs.
This wi ll prevent any grains of salt or salty wate r, which ma y have been spilled,
remaining on the bottom of the machi ne for any period of time, which may cause
corrosion.
C. Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser
The rinse aid is released during the final ri nse to prevent water from forming droplets on y our dis hes, whic h can
leave spots and streaks. It also improves drying by allowing water to roll off the dishes. Your d ishwasher is
designed to use liquid rinse aids. The rinse aid dispenser is located inside, on the door and next to the detergent dispens er.
To fill the dispenser, open the cap and pour the rinse aid into the dispenser until the level i ndicator turns c ompletely
black . The volume of the rinse aid container is about 110m l.

Adjusting Rinse Aid Dispenser
The rinse aid dispenser has six or fou r setting s. Always st art with the dispenser

The chemical ingredients that compose the detergent are necessary to remove, crush and dispense all dirt out of the

Proper Use of Detergent
Use only detergent specifically made for the use in dishwashers. Keep your det ergent fresh and dry.
Don't put powdered detergent into the dispenser until you're ready to wash dish es.
Warning!
Amount of Detergent to Use
Based on their chem ical com position, detergents can be split in two basic types:
Detergent tablets of diffe rent brands dissolve at different speeds. For this reason some
detergent tablets cannot dissolve and develop their full cleaning power during short
prog rams. Therefore please use long programs wh en usin g detergent tablets, t o
ensure the complete removal of detergent residua ls.
The dispenser must be refilled before the start of each wash cycle following the instructions
provided in the w ash cycle table . Your dis hwasher uses less de tergent and rinse aid than
Conventional dishwa sher. Generally, only one tablespoon of detergent is needed for
a normal wash load. More heavily soiled items need more detergent. Alway s ad d the
detergent just be fore starting the dishwas her, otherwise it coul d get damp and will not
dissolve properly.

Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher as they could easily fall out of the basket.
To prevent water dripping from the upper basket into the lower basket, we recommend that you

Pots, serving bowls, etc, must always be placed top down.
Deep pots should be slan ted to allow water to flow out.
Please be r eminded that:
The B ottom Basket features fo lding spikes so that larger or more pots and pans can be loaded.
For better stacking of pots and pans, the spikes can be
folded down as show on the picture

The height o f the upper basket can be adjusted
by placing the wheels on different height of therails.
For better stacking of cups, the shelves can be
folded down a s showed on the picture below.
Cutlery should be pla ced in the cutlery rack separatelyfrom each other in the ap propriate pos itions, and do
