Overview of the 700-DC
The Kval 700-DC Frame Assembly Machine has pop-up door supports that will accommodate any
door sill that does not extend past the interior side of the door frame. The machine is equipped
with an electronic PLC programmable logic controller so all operations are performed by pressing
two palm buttons.
First a door, with hinge jamb and sweep attached, is rolled into position on hold-up wheels. The
palm buttons are pressed once to close the hinge side and hold it in position. The buttons are
pressed a second time to clamp and hold in place the head, strike jamb and sill.
After the frame is clamped, the operator pushes a single palm button and “fire guns” activation
button to simultaneously secure all four of the corners. Another activation of the palm buttons
unclamps the door and releases it so it can be rolled to the next station.
For sills that are attached with screws, the 700-DC can be purchased with just two staple guns for
the header. The sill end then functions as a clamp to compress the sweep and ensure tight align-
ment.
A hand-held air screwdriver is used to fasten the sill as the head is attached with staples. The price
does not include staple guns or air screwdrivers.
Palm Buttons are located on the sill/outfeed end of the machine. For a second set of palm buttons
and “fire guns” pushbutton located on the head/infeed, please select Option DC: Dual Controls.
