Aiwa ACD325 is a portable CD boombox with a range of features for enjoying music at home or on the go. of the unit.
CAUTION: TO REDUCE THE RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK, DO NOT REMOVE COVER (OR
BACK). DO NOT OPEN THE UNIT; REFER ANY SERVICING TO QUALIFIED SERVICE
PERSONNEL.
1. Read all instructions and keep for future reference.
2. Avoid installing the unit in locations described below:
- Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to heat radiating appliances such as electric
heaters, or other equipment that radiate too much heat.
- Places subject to constant vibration.
- Unventilated or dusty places.
- Humid or moist places.
3. Before turning on the power for the first time, make sure that the power cord is properly
installed and the voltage switch is correctly set.
4. Store your CD or other devices in a cool area to avoid damage from heat.
5. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety.
6. This product is not a toy! Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the appliance.
7. Do not expose this unit to water, corrosive liquids or gases. Do not immerse in water or other
liquids.
8. Remove batteries if exhausted or if they will not be used for a long period.
9. The incorrect use of batteries can cause electrolyte leakage and may corrode the
compartment or cause the batteries to burst. Therefore:
- Do not mix battery types, e.g. alkaline with zinc carbonate.
- When inserting new batteries, replace all batteries at the same time.

POWER SOURCE
This unit works on either AC or DC power.
AC OPERATION
Connect the tail end of the supplied AC power cord into the AC Socket on the unit and the plug
end to a suitable AC mains outlet. The batteries will be automatically disconnected.
DC OPERATION
Open the Battery Compartment Door. Insert 8 x UM-2/C size batteries (not included) into the
battery compartment ensuring correct polarities as marked.
Note: When using a battery, remove the AC power cord from the unit.
Caution: Remove batteries if they are exhausted or not being used for a long period of time.
Batteries contain chemical substances and should be disposed of properly. Contact your local
council for recycling or disposal options.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
SWITCHING ON THE UNIT
After connecting the power, press POWER Button to turn on. Press the MODE Button to choose
between the available modes: CD / USB / FM / AUX or BT.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
Rotate the Volume Dial to increase or decrease the volume.
BASS FUNCTION
Press the BASS Button to activate the bass effect.
HEADPHONE JACK
For private listening, insert a 3.5mm headphone (not included) into the Headphone Jack. The
speaker output would be automatically cut off.
Caution: Listening at a high volume for long periods of time can cause hearing loss.
RADIO OPERATION
TUNING RADIO STATIONS
1. Press the MODE Button to select FM mode.
2. Tune to the desired station by rotating the Tuning Dial. The LCD Display will show the band
frequency (e.g. FM 97.10 MHz). If the radio receives stereo signal, “STEREO” will be
shown on the Display.
3. Press and hold the TUN.- / or TUN.+ / Button; the unit will scan the frequencies until
a broadcasting station strong enough for good reception is found.
4. Extend the FM Antenna to its full length and gently move the unit back and forth to get the
best reception, or place the unit in an open location.
5. To turn off the radio, press the MODE Button to switch to other functions or press POWER
Button to turn off the unit.

RADIO AUTO SCAN (SEARCH)
Press the /PAIR Button, the unit will conduct auto scan and search for the first available
channel. The unit will start to broadcast the station ‘P01 after searching is finished.
Press the 10/FOLD./M.+ or 10/FOLD./M.- Button to choose the next or previous programmed
station.
RADIO STATION MEMORY OPERATION
You can store up to 30 (FM) radio stations in the unit memory to listen to your favourite stations
directly and quickly. This prevents having to tune and search for the channels each time.
1. Rotate the Tuning Dial to select the first desired station.
2. Press PROG./MEM. Button; P01 will flash on the Display. Press the 10/FOLD./M.+ or
10/FOLD./M.- Button to choose the position you want to store the channel (fromP01’ to
‘P30’), and then press the PROG./MEM. Button again to enter.
3. Search for another station and repeat steps (1) and (2). Repeat the process until you have
saved all desired stations. Up to 30 stations can be programmed.
4. Press the 10/FOLD./M.+ or 10/FOLD./M.- Button to switch between the saved stations
directly.
CD OPERATION
PLAYBACK OF AUDIO DISCS
This system can playback all digital audio CDs including audio CD-Recordable (CD-R) discs,
audio CD-Rewritable (CD-RW) discs and CD-DA format digital audio CD/CD-R/CD-RW discs.
LOADING A DISC
1. Press the MODE Button to select ‘CD mode.
2. Open the CD door, OP will be shown on the Display.
3. Place an audio CD into the tray with the label side facing up.
4. Close the CD door. The Display initially shows a flashing ---‘ which then changes to the total
number of tracks. Playback will start from the first track.
5. To remove the CD, press STOP ( ) Button to stop playback; then open the CD compartment
lid. Hold the CD by its edges, and take it out carefully.
Note:
1. Make sure play is stopped before opening the CD door.
2. To ensure good performance; wait until the unit completely reads the CD before starting play.
3. If no disc is loaded into the tray, or if the disc is unreadable, the Display will show ‘NO’.
PLAYING A DISC
1. Playback starts from track 1 automatically.
2. To pause playback, press / PAIR Button. The current playing time and PLAY will flash on
the Display.
3. To resume playback, press / PAIR Button again.
4. To stop playback, press STOP ( ) Button, the total number of tracks will show on the
Display.
SELECTING A DESIRED TRACK/PASSAGE
To select a desired track
Press the TUN.+/ or TUN.- / Button until the desired track appears on the Display. It will
start play automatically.

To search for a particular passage during playback (track scanning at high speed)
Press and hold the TUN.+/ or TUN.- / Button to scan the current playing track at high
speed until desired point (passage) appears, then release the button for normal playback mode.
Playback will start again from this point.
To select a song with track number more than 10for USB only
To select a song/track with number more than 10, press the 10/FOLD./M.+ or 10/FOLD./M.-
Button each time to skip forward 10 tracks, then press the TUN.+/ or TUN.- / Button to
select the desired track.
To select a desired folder (for USB that contains more than one folder)
To select a desired folder, press and hold the 10/FOLD./M.+ or 10/FOLD./M.- Button to tune to
the next or previous folder.
PROGRAMMING TRACKS
You can program individual tracks of discs when playback is stopped. Up to 20 tracks for CDs
and 99 tracks for USB can be stored in the memory in any order.
1. With playback stopped, press the PROG./MEM. Button to enter program setting, the P logo
will flash on the Display and show P01.
2. Press the TUN.+/ or TUN.-/ Button to select the first desired track to be programmed
(for example, track 5).
3. Press the PROG./MEM. Button on unit again. The P’ logo will flash on the Display and show
P01.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 to store other desired tracks until all tracks are programmed.
5. Press the /PAIR Button to start playback from the first programmed track.
6. Press the TUN.+/ or TUN.-/ Button to select the next or previous programmed track.
7. Press the STOP ( ) Button to stop program playback.
8. To clear the program, press STOP ( ) Button when the disc is stopped or open the CD
compartment lid the program will be erased.
REPEAT PLAY
You can play one track or all tracks on the disc repeatedly.
To Repeat a Single Track
1. Press RPT/RDM Button on the unit during play. The Display will show flashing and
the current track will be played over and over again till you press the STOP ( ) Button.
2. To cancel repeat play, press RPT/RDM Button until disappears from the Display.
To repeat all the Tracks
1. Press RPT/RDM Button until shows steadily on the Display. All tracks on the disc will
be played over and over again till you press the STOP ( ) Button.
2. To cancel repeat play, press the RPT/RDM button until disappears from the Display.
To repeat the folder (only for USB/MP3 discs which contain more than one folder)
1. Press the RPT/RDM Button until FOLDER shows steadily on the Display. The current
folder will be repeated over and over again till you press the STOP ( ) Button.
2. To cancel repeat play, press the RPT/RDM Button until FOLDER disappears from the
Display.

RANDOM PLAY
1. Press the RPT/RDM Button on the unit in play mode until RAND appears on the Display.
Random play starts automatically until all tracks are played and then play stops.
2. To cancel random play, press the RPT/RDM Button again until RAND disappears from the
Display.
USB OPERATION
1. Press the MODE Button to select USB mode.
2. Connect a suitable USB memory device to the USB Input. The Display shows the total
num
ber of tracks and folders stored
in the USB. Playback starts from track 1 automatically
after reading the USB.
3. To pause playback, press /PAIR Button. The current playing time and PLAY flashes on
the Display.
4. To resume playback, press /PAIR Button again.
5. Press the STOP ( ) Button to stop playing.
Note: Program play/ repeat play (repeat 1- repeat folder - repeat all) / random play for USB are
the same as for CD

Caution: Do not use USB extension cables for connecting the USB device as this may cause
harmful interference.
BLUETOOTH OPERATION
1. Make sure that your Bluetooth enabled device (smartphone, tablet or similar) is within the
Bluetooth range of 10 metres from the unit.
2. Press the MODE Button to switch to Bluetooth function. ‘bt’ is shown on
the Display and the
Pair/
Standby indicator will flash blue at high speed.
3. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your Bluetooth enabled device; search for the unit name
‘Aiwa ACD325 and connect to it. Enter ‘0000if asked for a password.
4. The Pair/Standby indicator will light up blue to indicate that pairing is successful and the
Display will show bt. Press /PAIR Button on the unit or play button on your Bluetooth
enabled devi

AUX-IN OPERATION
1. Press the MODE Button to select AUX mode.
2. Use a 3.5mm auxiliary cable to connect your external device (like an mp3 player) to the AUX
Input on the unit. You can
now play music from your device on the unit speakers.

COMPACT DISC MAINTENANCE
1. Always use audio CDs bearing the mark as shown.
2. Notes on handling discs
Remove the disc from its storage case and load it.
Do not touch the reflective recorded surface.
Do not write anything or stick any paper on the surface.
Do not bend the disc.
3. Storage
Store the disc in its case.
Do not expose discs to direct sunlight or high temperatures, high humidity or dust.
DO NOT STORE NEAR HEAT
4. Cleaning a disc
If the disc becomes dirty, wipe clean with a soft cloth.
Clean the disc from the centre to the edge.
Never use benzine, thinners, record cleaner fluid or anti-static spray.
Always keep the CD door closed so that the lens is not contaminated by dust.
Do not touch the lens.
