This product is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase when the
appliance is used solely for domestic purposes. For commercial use the product is
guaranteed for 90 days from the date of purchase.
The guarantee is valid against mechanical or electrical defects if the product is used
in accordance with the instructions and provided that it is not connected to an
unsuitable electricity supply or dismantled, interfered with or damaged in any way.
IMPORTANT, PLEASE RETAIN THIS WARRANTY
Under this guarantee any parts found to be defective will be repaired or
replaced free of charge.
Please ask your retailer to either stamp this warranty or simply attach your
store receipt. Keep this warranty somewhere safe. DO NOT SEND TO PRIMA.
This guarantee in no way affects your rights under statutory law.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:-
Read all instructions carefully.
To avoid risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or
appliance in water or other liquid.
Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by
or near children.
Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug once
the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in
any manner. Special tools are required to repair the appliance.
Ask a specialist technician to check and repair it.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended or sold by
the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards to the user.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a
heater oven.
Remove plug from wall outlet to disconnect the appliance.
Do not use appliance for other than intended use. The
appliance is for household use only, not for industrial use.
Do not operate the appliance for longer than 5 minutes at a
time.
Do not attempt to slice food without the platform or the pusher.
Take care not to come into contact with the rotating blade.
This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If
a BS1363 approved 13 amp plug is used it should be fitted with
a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour coded:
blue = neutral, brown = live, The blue wire must be connected to
the terminal marked N or coloured in black. The brown wire
must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.
On no account should the Live or Neutral wires be
connected to the Earth terminal.
ASSEMBLY
A. Reassemble table by placing the table in position, slide the
tab under the table to lock in position.
B. Put adjusting guide in place. Turn adjusting knob anti-
clockwise to lock in position.
C. To assemble blade, hold in centre by blade locking-knob.
Turn anti-clockwise to lock in place.
D. Assemble platform to table by hooking two tabs under
platform to the edge of table and slide pusher onto platform.
Your food slicer is now ready fur use.
USING YOUR SLICER
1. Clean all parts of the appliance before the first use.
2. Make sure the appliance is steady and open the table (6).
3. Put the platform (5) on top of the table: the platform triangle
should be above the circle on the table. The platform should
be secured in the table groove. Now add the pusher (4).
4. Select the slicing thickness by turning the adjusting knob (7)
5. Plug in the appliance. The slicer is now ready for use.
6. Lay the food to be sliced between the blade (1) and the
pusher.
7. Push simultaneously the on/off button (2) and the safety lock
(8) with your right hand. The blade will start rotating. For
safety reasons, the appliance only works if both buttons are
pushed.
8. Push the platform with your left hand to bring the food to the
blade. As a safety measure, the platform cannot be moved
easily.
9. To avoid food sticking to the appliance, you can moisten the
blade with a wet towel beforehand. This allows you to slice
more easily.
10. Always use the pusher when slicing small parts and leftovers.
11. Do not slice meat with bones, food with large seeds, rolled
roast without removing the string, wrappers (i.e. aluminium
foil), frozen food or any hard, inedible food parts.
CLEANING
1. Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance
2. Wipe the inside and outside of the appliance with a paper
towel or a soft cloth. It should not be washed in a
dishwasher.
3. do not clean the inside or outside with any abrasive scouring
pad or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
4. Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
5. The blade can be taken off by turning the blade-locking knob
(3). Caution: the blade is very sharp. After having cleaned
the blade, turn the knob clockwise to fasten it.
6. Dry all parts well before storage.
