by making half turns
anti-clockwise to secure.
Attach the pad to the pad
driver, making sure
it is centralised to avoid

Operation
8 vaxcommercial.co.uk
Adding extra weight to the machine (VCR- 01 only)
CAUTION: Due to the increased contact pressure with the oor, wear of the brush and pad will increase.
The brush and pad will experience more rapid wear and tear.
CAUTION: Only use the additional weight supplied by the Vax. Using other weights can compromise
the safety of the machine and could damage the oor.
!
!
!
!
!
!
!
!
If the surface is particularly dirty, an additional weight can be attached to the machine to allow the brush
or pad to have greater contact pressure with the oor for a deeper clean.
Lift the additional weight using the special recesses.
Place the weight onto the body of the machine.
!
!
!
!
!
!
!
!
CAUTION: Always ensure the machine is unplugged before attempting to add additional weight.
CAUTION: Position ngers under recesses to ensure there is no possibility that ngers will become trapped.
!
!
!
!
!
!
!
!
CAUTION: It is recommended that extra weight is
removed from unit when not in use or in storage.
CAUTION: Do not leave machine resting on brush,
drive board or pad for long periods as may damage
or misshapen said articles.
Operation
9Vax Careline: (UK) 0330 026 4275
Practice operation
Practice lifting and lowering the handle, then releasing the brush rotation levers. Do this 4 or 5 times before each
use to familiarise yourself with this action. Practising this procedure will make sure the machine always remains
in your control.
Unwind the power cable, plug
the machine into the mains
and switch on.
Practice releasing the brush
rotation levers.
Controlling the machine
Lift the handle release lever.
Lift/lower the handle. Always
keep 2 hands on the control
handle whilst in operation.
Lower the handle to the optimum
operation height (hip height).
Simultaneously press the
safety/starting button (A) and
both brush rotation levers (B)
to start the machine.
A
B
B
CAUTION: Large movements of the handle up (to move left) or down (move right) will cause the machine to
move quickly. The user may feel like the machine is no longer within their control, the natural reaction to this
is to grip the handle tighter. This will not stop the machine and may cause the machine to move more rapidly.
The machine will only automatically stop if the brush rotation levers are released.
IMPORTANT: It is vital that during training and before rst use, the user practices stopping the machine, to
ensure no harm is caused to the user or surrounding areas.
CAUTION: Do not let the mains power cable come in contact with the rotating brush or pad.
CAUTION: When practicing this procedure ensure that you use dierent areas of the oor each time.

the rotation levers pressed
and handle positioned at hip
height. To move right, gently
lift the handle up. To move left
gently lower the handle down.

damage the oor. Do not use
the brush if bristles are
splayed or damaged as this
may damage the oor.
Clean the brush or pad under
running water (max 60°c)
and leave to dry. To avoid
damaging the oor and the
machine, carefully check
if debris, such as grit, metallic
parts, screws, chips, cords
