Servicing and maintenance
Do not drop helmet or place heavy objects such as tools on or inside the helmet. Doing so may
damage the electro-optical filter.
Make sure helmet is equipped with a front and inside cover lens (Drawing 2). These protection lenses
must be replaced if damaged in any way (Page 2).
Clean the helmet and filter, including sensors, when changing cover lenses by any of these methods:
Wipe with a clean, dry piece of non-abrasive cloth.•
Clean with a non-abrasive cloth moistened with either pure alcohol or commercial disinfectant•
Use only components specified in this manual. Use of other components not listed negates all
approvals and may be harmful. Dispose of filters in accordance with local regulations. If used properly
the welding filter requires no further maintenance during its lifetime.
If filter flickers, does not return to light state after welding and delay, or fails to turn dark, check for
obstructions and cleanliness of front cover lens. Remove obstructions and clean or replace front cover
lens. If this does not correct the issue contact ESAB customer service.
