Shimano FH-7271 is a small 6-speed or 7-speed freehub with a 149 mm axle length and a chain line of 41.5 mm. It uses #15 spokes with a diameter of 1.8 mm and has a spoke hole count of 32. The freehub body is compatible with sprockets ranging from 11T to 26T, and the top sprocket can be screwed on for added stability. The hub features a Direction System which allows for faster and easier spoke assembly, resulting in a stronger wheel with increased resistance to lateral force. The hub também has a Uni Balance Mechanism for easier rim assembly and improved spoke durability.
