When Should The Compass Be Calibrated?
The electronic compass should be calibrated every time the batteries are changed. Calibrating
the compass after changing the batteries is the only way to ensure the compass information
remains accurate.
Preparing the Magellan Tritron for Calibration
1. Remove the USB Cable and the power adapter.
2. Lay the receiver on its back on a flat, level surface.
CAUTION: Do NOT perform the compass calibration on any metal surface. For best
calibration results, move all metal objects away from the receiver before beginning.
