vicinity of the unit. It must remain available throughout
the entire useful life of the unit. It must be handed over to
subsequent owners or users of the unit.
In addition to this operating manual, you must also
have the operating manual for the heating and heat
pump regulator and the operating manual for your
heat pump.
Read the operating manual before working on or operating
the unit. Especially the chapter on safety. Follow all
instructions in full and unreservedly.

incomprehensible or unclear. In the event of any questions
or if any details are unclear, contact the factory customer
service department or the manufacturer's local partner.
As this operating manual has been written for several
unit models, always comply with the parameters for the
respective model.

Component-tested brine pressure limiter for installation in
the brine circuit, if required by the authorities.
Comply with regional regulations!

The unit is to be used only for its intended purpose. This

as a pressure limiter in the brine circuit

resulting from use of the unit which is not its intended use.

if work is carried out on the unit and its components
contrary to the instructions in this operating manual.
if work is carried out improperly on the unit and its

in this operating manual, and this work has not been
explicitly approved by the manufacturer in writing.

modied or removed without the explicit written

Installation
NOTE:
Install the brine pressure limiter on the
discharge side of the brine circulation pump.
The copper seal must be placed centrally in the adapter.
Copper seal
Screw on the brine pressure limiter until it ts tightly,
while making sure that the copper seal does not slip.
Use Teon tape to seal the end with external
thread R 3/8" in the brine pipe as shown in the
hydraulic diagram.

Electrical connection work
The following applies to all work to be done:
DANGER!
Risk of fatal electric shock!
All electrical connection work must be
carried out by qualied electricians only.
Before opening the unit, disconnect the
system from the power supply and prevent it
from being switched back on!
DANGER!
During installation and while carrying out
electrical work, comply with the relevant
EN‑, VDE and/or local safety regulations.
Please note and follow the “Electrical Connection Work”
section of the respective heat pump type.
Operating manual for the respective heat pump
type.
Connect cables A and C of the brine pressure limiter, as
shown in the terminal diagram, to the corresponding termi-
nals of the respective heat pump type.

Insulation
Insulate on site in accordance with the relevant local
standards, guidelines and directives.
Insulate the riser pipe with vapour diffusion-proof insulator
along its whole length to prevent condensation.
Glue the abutting surfaces and ends of the insulation to
prevent penetration of condensation,
Setting
The range and difference (Diff) settings are made using the
hexagon screws at the top of the pressure switch. The upper
switching point is determined by adding the difference value
to the lower switching point.

Setting example (recommendation): triggering of the
brine pressure limiter at 0.5 bar = lower switching point.
Required settings:
lower switching point + difference (Diff) = upper switching
point (Range)
0.5 bar + 0.5 bar (Diff) = 1 bar (Range)
Make the setting as follows:
Undo the stop screw.
Pull off the adjusting and locking key.
Make the necessary settings at the upper switching
point (Range) and Difference (Diff).
To x the settings, put on the adjusting and locking key
again and fasten with the stop screw.
