SAFETY
WARNING! Read and understand all
instructions before using this tool. The
operator must follow basic precautions to
reduce the risk of personal injury and/or
damage to the equipment.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Keep this manual for safety warnings,
precautions, operating or inspection and
maintenance instructions.
SPECIFIC SAFETY
PRECAUTIONS
WARNING! DO NOT let comfort or familiarity
with product (gained from repeated use)
replace strict adherence to the tool safety
rules. If you use this tool unsafely or
incorrectly, you can suffer serious
personal injury.
WARNING! Wear personal protective equipment
approved by the Canadian Standards
Association (CSA) or American National
Standards Institute (ANSI).
1. Use the correct tool for the job. This tool
was designed for a specific function. Do
not modify or alter this tool or use it for
an unintended purpose.
WARNING! Risk of fire. Do not pump gasoline or
other highly flammable liquids.
2. Use a 3-prong grounded cord for
double insulated drill, and follow the
safety precautions recommended by
the drill manufacturer.
3. Electric drills are not designed to be
operated continuously and should not be
operated unattended. To do so can result
in failure of the drill and/or pump.
4. To ensure optimum priming and long life,
it is recommended that a few drops of
mineral or cooking oil be placed in the
pump inlet prior to use.

OPERATION
NOTE: This pump does not turn freely by hand.
CAUTION! Only pump liquid within 4 to 38
(40 to 100
) temperature range.
1. Secure the drill pump to a drill by closing
the chuck jaws of the drill onto the shaft of
the drill pump.
NOTE: When pumping abrasive fluids or liquids
containing solids, a longer pump life will be
obtained by using a screen or strainer on the
inlet line. Pumping thick fluid will affect the
pump’s performance.
2. Be sure the inlet line is airtight and as
short as possible, not to exceed the length
of the tubing. Place the inlet hose into the
liquid source to be pumped and the outlet
hose into the desired receptacle for the
liquid being pumped.
NOTE: The inlet and discharge hose will
normally prevent the pump from rotating. When
holding the pump by hand, hold loosely do
not move from side to side.
3. Squeeze the trigger of the drill. The
rotation of the drill will turn the impeller in
the drill pump to begin pumping liquid.
NOTE: Do not run dry. If the pump fails to prime
in 15 to 20 seconds, check that the inlet line is
airtight, and not kinked or clogged.
4. Once the liquid has been pumped, release
the trigger of the drill and remove the inlet
and outlet hoses.
CARE & MAINTENANCE
1. Maintain the tool with care. A tool in good
condition is efficient, easier to control and
will have fewer problems.
2. Inspect the tool components periodically.
Repair or replace damaged or worn
components. Only use identical
replacement parts when servicing.
3. Follow instructions for lubricating and
changing accessories.
4. Only use accessories intended for use
with this tool.
5. Maintain the tool’s labels and name plates.
These carry important information. If
unreadable or missing, contact Princess Auto
Ltd. for replacements.
WARNING! Only qualified service personnel
should repair the tool. An improperly
repaired tool may present a hazard to the
user and/or others.
CLEANING
Flush the drill pump with clean water after
each use.
LUBRICATION
The pump depends on fluid being pumped
for lubrication.
NOTICE! NEVER use a penetrating oil to
lubricate the tool. Penetrating oil may act
as a solvent that can break down the grease
and cause the tool to seize up.
STORAGE
When not in use for an extended period, apply
a thin coat of lubricant to the steel parts to
avoid rust. Remove the lubricant before using
the tool again.
DISPOSAL
Recycle a tool damaged beyond repair at the
appropriate facility.
