Regular Maintenance
Since ignition and fuel system are essential to emission and high performance of engine and
related system, it is strongly recommended that these systems should be serviced at Mazda
appointed maintenance stations.
After recommended period, conduct inspection for regular maintenance items periodically.
For items with * mark, pay attention to following:
1: If any devices adjusted, inspect power steering and AC drive belt.
2: Timing belt must be replaced every 10000km, otherwise engine may be damaged.
3: In case vehicle runs with following conditions, it is recommended to shorten specified
change interval of engine oil filter:
a. With dust
b. Long time idling or running with lower speed
c. Long time running with lower environmental temperature of periodically short distance
4: If vehicle runs at areas with dust or sand, inspection and necessary replacement should be
conducted frequently than recommendation.
5: If vehicle runs continuously with severe conditions or at mountain areas, which requires
frequently braking, or vehicle is used with extremely moisture weather, brake fluid should be
changed once a year.
6: Electrical systems such as headlamp, wiper, washer (including rubber wiper blade) and
power window must be inspected sufficiently.
