GENERAL POWER TOOL SAFETY WARNINGS
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to heed warnings and follow instructions may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Keep safety warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the safety warnings refers to your mains operated (corded) power tool or battery-
operated (cordless) power tool.
2.0 BEFORE USE
Remove any packing material and loose parts from unit.
Check the accessories before use. It should be fit with the machine and your purpose.
If the machine is new, the battery must first be charged.
Attention! After long time storage, the battery capacity will be reduce.
A new battery or one which has not been used for an extended period achieves full performance only
after charging and discharging cycles. A substantial drop in operating period per charge indicates that the
battery is worn out and must be replaced.
2.1 WORKING AREA
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.

2.2 ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
• Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs with earthed
power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce the risk of an electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, kitchen ranges and refrigerators. There is an
increased risk of an electric shock if your body is earthed.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. If water gets inside a power tool, it will increase the risk of an
electric shock.
• Do not damage the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep the cord away
from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of an electric shock.
• When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cable suitable for outdoor use. Using a cord suitable for
outdoor use reduces the risk of an electric shock.
• If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a power supply protected by a residual current
device (RCD). Using an RCD reduces the risk of an electric shock.
2.3 PERSONAL SAFETY
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool
when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention when operating
a power tool may result in serious personal injury.
• Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Using safety equipment such as a dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes, a hard hat, or hearing protection whenever it is needed will reduce the risk of personal injury.
• Avoid accidental starts. Ensure the switch is in the off position before inserting the plug. Carrying power tools with
your finger on the switch or plugging in power tools when the switch is in the on position makes accidents
more likely.
• Remove any adjusting keys or spanners before turning on the power tool. A spanner or key left attached to a
rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
• Do not reach out too far. Keep your feet firmly on the ground at all times. This will enable you retain control over the
power tool in unexpected situations.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from the power
tool. Loose clothes, jewelery or long hair can become entangled in the moving parts..
• If there are devices for connecting dust extraction and collection facilities, please ensure that they are attached and
used correctly. Using such devices can reduce dust-related hazards.

2.4 POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
• Do not expect the power tool to do more than it can. Use the correct power tool for what you want to do. A power
tool will achieve better results and be safer if used in the context for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch cannot turn it on and off. A power tool with a broken switch is dangerous and
must be repaired.
• Disconnect the plug from the power source before making adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power
tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
• Store power tools, when not in use, out of the reach of children and do not allow people who are not familiar with
the power tool or these instructions to operate it. Power tools are potentially dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
• Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or jammed moving parts, breakages or any other feature that might
affect the operation of the power tool. If it is damaged, the power tool must be repaired. Many accidents are caused
by using poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to jam
and are easier to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and cutting tools, etc., in accordance with these instructions and in the manner
intended for the particular type of power tool, taking into account the working conditions and the work which needs
to be done. Using a power tool in ways for which it was not intended can lead to potentially hazardous situations.
2.5 SERVICE
Your power tool should be serviced by a qualified specialist using only standard spare parts. This will
ensure that it meets the required safety standards.
a) Use only the manufacturer’s recommended replacement parts and accessories.
b) Inspect and maintain the machine regularly. Have the machine repaired only by an authorized repairer.
c) When not in use, store the machine out of the reach of children.
SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR SLIDING MITRE SAW
CUTTING PROCEDURES
DANGER: Keep hands away from cutting area and the blade. Keep your second hand on auxiliary
handle, or motor housing. If both hands are holding the saw, they cannot be cut by the blade.
1. Do not reach underneath the workpiece. The guard cannot protect you from the blade below the workpiece.
2. Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the workpiece. Less than a full tooth of the blade teeth should be visible
below the workpiece.
3. Never hold piece being cut in your hands or across your leg. Secure the workpiece to a stable platform. It is
important to support the work properly to minimize body exposure, blade binding, or loss of control.

4. Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only, when performing an operation where the cutting tool may
contact hidden wiring. Contact with a “live” wire will also make exposed metal parts of the power tool “live” and
could give the operator an electric shock.
5. Always use blades with correct size and shape (diamond versus round) of arbor holes. Blades that do not match the
mounting hardware of the saw will run eccentrically, causing loss of control.
6. Never use damaged or incorrect blade washers or bolt. The blade washers and bolt were specially designed for your
saw, for optimum performance and safety of operation.
KICKBACK CAUSES AND RELATED WARNINGS
• Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound or misaligned saw blade, causing an uncontrolled saw to lift up
and out of the workpiece toward the operator;
• When the blade is pinched or bound tightly by the kerf closing down, the blade stalls and the motor reaction drives
the unit rapidly back toward the operator;
• If the blade becomes twisted or misaligned in the cut, the teeth at the back edge of the blade can dig into the top
surface of the wood causing the blade to climb out of the kerf and jump back toward the operator.
Kickback is the result of saw misuse and/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions and can be avoided by taking
proper precautions as given below.
• Maintain a firm grip with both hands on the saw and position your arms to resist kickback forces. Position your
body to either side of the blade, but not in line with the blade. Kickback could cause the saw to jump backwards, but
kickback forces can be controlled by the operator, if proper precautions are taken.
• When blade is binding, or when interrupting a cut for any reason, release the trigger and hold the saw motionless
in the material until the blade comes to a complete stop. Never attempt to remove the saw from the work or pull
the saw backward while the blade is in motion or kickback may occur. Investigate and take corrective actions to
eliminate the cause of blade binding.
• When restarting a saw in the workpiece, center the saw blade in the kerf and check that saw teeth are not engaged
into the material. If saw blade is binding, it may walk up or kickback from the workpiece as the saw is restarted.
• Support large panels to minimize the risk of blade pinching and kickback. Large panels tend to sag under their own
weight. Supports must be placed under the panel on both sides, near the line of cut and near the edge of the panel.
• Do not use dull or damaged blades. Unsharpened or improperly set blades produce narrow kerf causing excessive
friction, blade binding and kickback.
• Blade depth and bevel adjusting locking levers must be tight and secure before making cut. If blade adjustment
shifts while cutting, it may cause binding and kickback.

LOWER GUARD FUNCTION
• Check lower guard for proper closing before each use. Do not operate the saw if lower guard does not move freely
and close instantly. Never clamp or tie the lower guard into the open position. If saw is accidentally dropped, lower
guard may be bent. Raise the lower guard with the retracting handle and make sure it moves freely and does not
touch the blade or any other part, in all angles and depths of cut.
• Check the operation of the lower guard spring. If the guard and the spring are not operating properly, they must be
serviced before use. Lower guard may operate sluggishly due to damaged parts, gummy deposits, or a build-up
of debris.
• Always observe that the lower guard is covering the blade before leaving the saw.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS
1. Do not allow foreign matter to enter the hole for connecting the rechargeable battery.
2. Never disassemble the rechargeable battery and charger.
3. Never short-circuit the rechargeable battery. Short circuiting the battery will cause a great electric current and
overheat. It results in burn or damage to the battery.
4. Do not dispose of the battery in fire. If the battery is burnt, it may explode.
5. When using this unit continuously, the unit may overheat, leading to damage in the motor and switch. Therefore,
whenever the housing becomes hot, give the saw a break for a while.
6. Do not insert object into the air ventilation slots of the charger. Inserting metal objects or inflammables into the
charger air ventilation slots will result in electrical shock hazard or damaged charger.
7. Bring the battery to the shop from which it was purchased as soon as the post-charging battery life becomes too
short for practical use. Do not dispose of the exhausted battery.
8. Use only blade diameter specified on the machine.
9. Do not use saw blades which are deformed or cracked.
10. Do not use saw blades made of high speed steel.
11. Do not use saw blades which do not comply with the characteristics specified in these instructions.
12. Do not stop the saw blades by lateral pressure on the disc.
13. Always keep the saw blades sharp.
14. Ensure that the lower guard moves smoothly and freely.
15. Ensure that the retraction mechanism of the guard system operates correctly.
16. Ensure that the material is free of foreign matters such as nails.
17. Prior to cutting operation, make sure the material you are going to cut. If the material to be cut is expected to
generate harmful / toxic dusts, make sure the dust bag or appropriate dust extraction system is connected with
dust outlet tightly. Wear the dust mask additionally, if available.
18. Before starting to saw, ensure that the saw blade has reached full speed revolution.

19. Should the saw blade be stopped or made an abnormal noise during operation, turn off the switch immediately.
20. Forcibly pressing the saw during cutting can result in unreasonable pressure on the motor, so try to go
straight quietly.
21. Preparing and checking the work environment. Make sure that the work site meets all the conditions laid forth in
the precautions.
22. Make sure that the battery is installed firmly. If it is as all loose it could come off and cause an accident.
23. When finished with a job, pull out the battery from the main body.
24. After having attached the saw blade, reconfirm that the lock lever is firmly secured in the prescribed position.
25. After adjusting the angle of inclination, make sure to securely tighten. Failure to do so may result in injury.
26. Pull out battery before carrying out any adjustment, servicing or maintenance.
27. Ensure that the switch is in the OFF position. If the battery installed to power tool while the switch is in the ON
position, the power tool will start operating immediately, which could cause a serious accident.
28. Do not expose directly your eye to the light by looking into the light. If your eye is continuously exposed to the light,
your eye will be hurt.
29. Never touch moving parts. Never place your hands, fingers or other body parts near the tool’s moving parts.
30. Never operate without all guards in place. Never operate this tool without all guards or safety features in place and
in proper working order. If maintenance or servicing requires the removal of a guard or safety feature, be sure to
replace the guard or safety feature before resuming operation of the tool.
31. NEVER leave tool running unattended. Turn power off . Don’t leave tool until it comes to a complete stop.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FOR BATTERIES AND CHARGERS
Use only batteries and chargers applicable for this machine.
4.1 BATTERIES
• Never attempt to open for any reason.
• Do not store in locations where the temperature may exceed 40 °C.
• Charge only at ambient temperatures between 4 °C and 40 °C.
• When disposing of batteries, follow the instructions given in the section “Protecting the environment”.
• Do not cause short circuits. If connection is made between the positive (+) and negative (-) terminal directly or via
accidental contact with metallic objects, the battery is short circuited and an intense current will flow causing heat
generation which may lead to casing rupture or fire.
• Do not heat. If batteries are heated to above 100 °C, sealing and insulating separators and other polymer
components may be damaged resulting in electrolyte leakage and/or internal short circuiting leading to heat
generation causing rupture or file. Moreover do not dispose of the batteries in fire, explosion and/or intense burning

• Under extreme conditions, battery leakage may occur. When you notice liquid on the battery, proceed as follows:
• Carefully wipe the liquid off using a cloth. Avoid skin contact.
• In case of skin or eye contact, follow the instructions below:
1. Immediately rinse with water. Neutralize with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar.
2. In case of eye contact, rinse abundantly with clean water for at least 10 minutes.
3. Consult a physician.
Fire hazard! Avoid short-circuiting the contacts of a detached battery. Do not incinerate the battery.
4.2 CHARGERS
• Never attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Have defective cords replaced immediately.
• Do not expose to water.
• Do not open the charger.
• Do not probe the charger.
• The charger is intended for indoor use only.

OPERATION
Before using the equipment:
BATTERY CHARGER
The lithium-ion battery can be charged at any time and will not develop a “memory” when charged after
only a partial discharge. It is not necessary to run down the battery pack charge before recharging. Remove
the battery pack from the tool when convenient for you and your job. You can “top-off” your battery pack’s
charge before starting a big job or long period of use.
Due to lithium-ion’s fade-free properties, the only time it is necessary to charge the lithium-ion battery
pack is when the pack has reached the end of its charge. To signal the end of charge, power to the tool will
drop quickly. Charge the battery pack as needed.
CHARGING THE BATTERY
This lithium-ion battery pack is shipped partially charged. Before using it the first time, fully charge the
battery pack. A fully discharged battery pack with a temperature between 0°C and 40°C will charge in
about 1 hour.
Plug the charger adapter into power source. The green light on the charger stand will illuminate, indicating
the charger is powered.
Slide the battery all the way into the charger stand. The red light on the charger stand will illuminate,
indicating that the battery is charging.
The red light will go off after charging is complete and a green light will appear.

NOTE: Batteries may become warm while charging. This is normal. If the battery is hot after continuous
use in the tool, allow it to cool down to room temperature before charging. This will extend the life of
your batteries.
WARNING: Always disconnect the battery pack from the tool before any assembly, adjustments or
changing accessories.
INSERTION AND REMOVAL OF RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
Depress the battery-release button located on the front of the battery pack to release battery pack.
Pull the battery pack out and remove it from the tool.
WARNING: Always remove the battery pack before making adjustments to the equipment.
Be sure to read the following information before you put the cordless equipment into operation:
Charge the battery pack with the charger. An empty battery pack requires a charging period of approximately
0.5 to 1 hour.
1. INSPECTING THE SAW BLADE
Since use of as dull saw blade will degrade efficiency and cause possible motor malfunction, sharpen or
replace the saw blade as soon as abrasion is noted.
CAUTION: If a dull saw blade is used, reactive force is increased during cutting operation. Avoid the use
of the dull saw blade without repair.
2. MAINTENANCE OF THE MOTOR
The motor unit winding is the very “heart” of the power tool. Exercise due care to ensure the winding does
not become damaged and/or wet with oil or water.
3. INSPECTING AND MAINTAINING THE LOWER GUARD
Always make sure that the lower guard moves smoothly. In the event of any malfunction, immediately
repair the lower guard. For cleaning and maintenance, use an air gun or other tool to blow clean the space
between the lower guard and gear cover as well as the rotation part of the lower guard with dry air
Doing so is effective for the emission of chips or other particles. Accumulation of chips or other particles
around the lower guard may result in malfunction or damage.
WARNING: To prevent dust inhalation or eye irritation, wear protective safety goggles and a dust
mask when using an air gun or other tool to clean the lower guard, ventilation holes or other parts of
the product.
4. CLEAN INSIDE THE SAW COVER
Periodically inspect and clean the saw cover to ensure that there is no accumulation of chips or other particles.

5. CHECK FOR DUST
Dust may be removed with a clean rag or a cloth dampened with soapy water. Do not use bleach, chlorine,
gasoline or thinner, for they may damage the plastics.
CAUTION: In the operation and maintenance of power tools, the safety regulations and standards
prescribed in each country must be observed.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
DANGER! Always pull out the mains power plug before starting any cleaning work.
CLEANING
Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the
equipment with a clean cloth or blow it with compressed air at low pressure.
We recommend that you clean the device immediately each time you have finished using it.
Clean the equipment regularly with a moist cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or
solvents; these could attack the plastic parts of the equipment. Ensure that no water can seep into the
device. The ingress of water into an electric tool increases the risk of an electric shock.
MAINTENANCE
There are no parts inside the equipment which require additional maintenance.
STORING
Store the machine, operating instructions and where necessary the accessories in the original packaging in
a dry place. In this way you will always have all the information and parts ready to hand.
