• A permanent lter is located at the spout opening. To clean
the lter, pull it out when the lid is open. Rinse it out under
running water. If necessary, clean it with a nylon brush.
Reinsert the lter. To do so, use the guides on the inside of
the kettle.
Decalcication
• The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on
the hardness of the water and on how often the appliance
is used.
• If the machine switches off before the water boils, it prob-
ably needs to be decalcied.
• Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available
decalcication agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use
the quantities stated in the instructions.
NOTE:
After descaling the device boil fresh water in it several times
(approximately 3-4 times) in order to remove any residues.
Do not consume this water.
