INTRODUCTION:
The Rice Cooker provides a simple, trouble free method
for cooking perfect rice. The warm function
automatically keeps the rice warm, fluffy and ready to
serve for up to 5 hours.
The large capacity of the Rice cooker makes it possible
to prepare rice economically for a family, for a party or
for bulk cooking for the freezer.
Important: Please read these instructions before using
your new Rice cooker and keep it in a safe place for
future reference.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS:
When using electrical appliances basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including the
following:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. To protect against electrical hazards, do not
immerse cord, plugs or the appliance in water or
any other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance
is used by or near children.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before
cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking
off pads.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord
or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to
service station for examination, repair or
adjustment.
7. The use of accessory attachments not
recommended may cause hazard.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter,
or touch hot surfaces.
10. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner
or in a heated oven.
11. Extreme caution must be used when mowing an
appliance containing hot liquids.
12. To disconnect, remove plug from wall outlet.
13. CAUTION: This appliance generates heat and
escaping steam during use. Proper precaution
must be taken to prevent the risk of burns, fires or
other damage to persons or property.
14. This appliance generates steam. Do not operate
uncovered.
15. Do not leave this appliance unattended during use.
16. This appliance is for household use only. Do not
use appliance for other than intended use.
17. Do not place the rice Bowl on other heat sources
(e.g. Cooking stove) as it may become deformed.
18. Do not block the Steam Vent Hole.
19. During or immediately after cooking, the area near
the Steam vent hole is kept at high temperature. To
avoid burns do not touch this area.

BEFORE FIRST USE:
Wash the rice bowl, the lid, the measuring cup and the
spatula in warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
Wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
Do not use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners on
any parts of the appliance. Never immerse the base in
water or any other liquid.
HOW TO COOK RICE:
Before each use, make sure that the outside of the rice
bowl is clean and dry and that the heat sensor in the
centre, on the inside of the base, is clean, dry and cool.
Handle the rice bowl carefully. Scratching or denting the
bowl may result in unsatisfactory performance.
1. Measure rice and water and place evenly in rice
bowl. Consult rice cooking chart NEVER PUT ANY
LIQUID INTO THE BASE.
NOTE: There are differing opinions about whether
rice should be washed before cooking. Drier fluffier
rice is obtained by washing rice first.
2. Place rice bowl in base and lid on rice bowl. Make
sure the bowl is properly sat onto the base.
3. Plug cord into a 230 Volt AC outlet. The power is
now on and remain on while the appliance is
plugged in.
4. Press the Switch to start cooking, the COOK
indicator will glow. When cooking is complete, the
Switch will move automatically to the warm
position (Warm). Wait 10 minutes for the rice to
finish cooking. Fluff rice with the spatula.

5. Unplug the Rice cooker before removing lid and
rice bowl from the base.
6. If the rice is to be kept warm leave the Rice cooker
plugged in. Reposition lid after fluffing.
NOTE: Rice may be kept warm up to 5 hours. To
stop the automatic keep warm cycle, simply
unplug from wall outlet.
RICE COOKING CHART:
Standard Measuring Cup Water
For 2 cups raw rice 3-3,5 cups
For 4 cups raw rice 5-5,5 cups
For 6 cups raw rice 7-7,5 cups
For 8 cups raw rice 9-9,5 cups
For 10 cups raw rice 11-11,5 cups
For 12 cups raw rice 12-12,5 cups
For 14 cups raw rice 14-14,5 cups
For 15 cups raw rice 15-15,5 cups
HELPFUL HINTS:
When using the automatic keep warm cycle, the rice
bowl should contain at least 3 cups of cooked rice.
Notice that to obtain 2 cups cooked rice, the quantities
of rice and water are not equal. For lager quantities of
cooked rice, the quantities are equal. (See Rice
Cooking Chart).
If other ingredients have been added to the rice, the
keep warm cycle should be on for no longer than 1
hour. This will keep the flavours fresh.
CARE AND CLEANING:
After each use, wash the rice bowl, the lid, the
measuring cup and the spatula in warm soapy water.
Do not use harsh detergents, abrasive cleansers or
metal scouring pads. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe
the base with a clean, damp cloth and dry. NOTE: If rice
has been cooked onto the bottom of the rice bowl, fill
the bowl with hot, soapy water. Let stand for about 10
minutes.
CAUTION:
1. To reduce the risk of electric shock, cook only in
removable container.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE BASE, CORD OR PLUG
IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
2. If water should accidentally enter the switch
mechanism or spill onto the heating plate, carefully
unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Allow
drying thoroughly before using the appliance again.
