An early love of trains

The history of Disneyland Park has always been encircled by train tracks.

Walt Disney was a huge fan of trains and what they represented; progress,

mobility, a pioneering spirit and freedom. His love of trains spanned his

whole life and had a tremendous inﬂuence on his work.

The idea for Mickey Mouse himself was created by Walt Disney on a train

ride back from a meeting, and it was the miniature railway that he built in

the backyard of his home, the Carolwood-Paciﬁc Railroad, that became

the inspiration for his grand concept to create The Happiest Place on

Earth – Disneyland.

The C.K. Holliday locomotive

Walt Disney’s fascination with trains also spawned the creation of the

C. K. Holliday locomotive from Disney theme parks, the inspiration behind

this LEGO

®

Disney Train and Station.

This detailed tribute to Walt Disney’s passion will let you recreate magical

Disney moments with an iconic steam train, complete with a grand-style

parlour car inspired by Disneyland Park in California.

Let the magic begin!

With this fully operational set, the magic will really come to life as the train
