The Model 312 modem will now be shipped with TMS Kits for
the New-Range Meters. It replaces the "Zoom" Modems.

Notes
1) Unlike previous modems, there is no speaker in the Model 312 Modem. Use the meter
display as an indicator of postage loading progress.
2) Normal LED indications are as follows:
Condition Right LED (view from back) Left LED (view from back)
Power applied to modem ON approximately 6 seconds then OFF. OFF
TMS initialization ON OFF
TMS dialing ON OFF
TMS transmitting ON ON
TMS process complete ON OFF
TMS process ended OFF OFF
Step #1
Using the two
thumb-screws
connect the
modem to the
back of the meter.
Step #2
Connect the Analog Phone
Line
Step 3
If necessary, connect the
Model 309 Power Supply
Warning:
Do not connect the Model
309 Power Supply if the
meter is on the base.
Step 4
Meter display is lit. Perform your normal TMS Download operation for postage
loading. See your Operating Guide.
