Note: The screen remains in the track while the track is
removed and/or installed.
A. Locate the Cord / screen holder with the cord
attached, disconnect the cord from the holder.

B. Locate the four screws at the head of the door frame
and turn each screw counter-clockwise to remove.
The screw at each end of the track is the attachment
screw for the factory-installed cord / screen holder.
Note: OXXO (4-panel) doors use two screen tracks which
meet in the center. Remove each track separately as
described above.
Note: Clip design may vary slightly from clips shown here.
C. When the screen track and screen are removed
from the frame, slide the screen track off of the
rollers on the top of the screen.

D. If applicable, remove the screen rollers by loosening the
screw and remove the roller from the top of the screen.

A. Install the screen hangers by sliding each hanger
into the top rail holes of the screen door frame.
Note: If the hanger will not go into the top rail hole, turn it
around. The hanger only installs one way.

B. Secure the screen hanger using the hanger screws
pre-installed in the top rail of the screen frame.
Tighten the screws until the line on the hanger is
lined up with the top of the screen frame.
C. Slide the screen track onto the
rollers, with the flat side toward
the frame and the flared side
toward the interior. Make sure
the looped end of the balance
cord from the top of the screen
extends down under the
screen track to exterior side
of the screen. This will allow
the loop to be grasped and
attached to the cord / screen
holder in step 2H.

E. Tilt-in the top of the screen (with the screen track on
the rollers) up to position the screen track against
the head of the frame in the same location from
which it was removed in step 1C.
F. Install the middle two screen attachment screws first.
Note: The screen may need to be slid from one side of
the track to the other to access the attachment
holes.
Tip: Use a screw driver with a magnetic tip to help align
the screw tip with the hole.

G-1. Install cord / screen holders. On each end of
the track, place a cord / screen holder onto the
attachment screw to install the holder onto the track.
G-2. If cord/screen holder has only one (1) “C-shaped” end, as shown here; make sure the
“C-shaped” end of both clips are pointed toward the vent lock jamb

A. Locate the four pairs of screws at the head of the
door frame and turn the right screw of each pair
counter-clockwise one to two turns to loosen.
11/01/2008 – 4/2011: At the far left and far right,
loosen both screws.
2005 – 10/31/2008: On OXXO (4-panel) doors;
The front cover is spliced in the center so use extra
care in handling. There are eight pairs of screws.
Loosen the right screw of each of the pairs of screws
on the ends near each jamb first, leave the cover
ends supported by the screws. Loosen the screws in
the center. Carefully remove the front cover as one
unit.
11/01/2008 – 4/2011: OXXO (4-panel) doors use
two screen tracks which meet in the center without a
splice. Remove each front track separately.

I. OXXO Doors: Two cord/screen holders are
installed using the end screw holes where
the two tracks meet in the center. Make sure
the C-shaped end of each cord is facing the
center of the door.

A. Remove the screen balance cord from the
cord holder.

B. 2005 – 10/31/2008: Slide the screen to one
side so screen hanger wheel aligns with the
wheel notch in the back track. Lift the screen
hanger off the track. Slide the screen over and
repeat on the other side. Lift bottom screen guide
out of inner sill groove and set screen aside.
11/01/2008 – 4/2011: Lift up the screen to
remove the screen hanger wheels from the
screen track.
OXXO doors have two screens to be removed.

Removing The Screen:
B. Remove the four pairs of screws that attach the back
track to the frame. Remove the back track.
OXXO doors have two back tracks and there will be
four pairs of screws in each track that need to
be removed

A. Remove the screen holder and cord holder by
removing the screw that attaches each to the back
track.
OXXO doors have two screen holders and two

C. Remove the attachment screws to remove the
cord / screen holders from the back track.
OXXO doors have 4 cord / screen holders.
D. Remove the remaining screws of the four pairs of
attachment screws. Remove the back track.
OXXO doors will have two back tracks to remove.

A. Position the screen back track at the head of the
frame, place and completely tighten the screw in the
left hole of the four pairs of screw holes in the track.
Insert but do not completely tighten the screw on
the right side of the four pairs of screws.
B. Install the screen holder and cord holder.
On OXXO doors; the screen holders are installed in
the second hole from each end and the cord holders
are installed where the two back tracks meet in the
center of the door frame.
C. Position the back track at the head of the frame, place and
completely tighten the screw in the left hole of the three
pairs of screw holes on the right side of the track. Insert
but do not completely tighten the right screw of the three
pairs of screw holes to the left side of the track.

A. Insert the bottom screen guide into the inner sill
groove on the side of the fixed panel.
D. Install the cord / screen holder on each end of the
track, using the far left screw and the far right screw
of the track. Do not completely tighten at this time.
On OXXO doors the cord / screen holders are
installed using the end screw on each track where
the tracks meet at the center. Make sure each
holder is pushed toward the center as shown. The
clear plastic inserts are installed in the end of each
cord / screen holder facing the door jamb.

B. Insert the wheel of the screen hanger
that is near the fixed jamb side.
C. With the one wheel engaged in the track, slide the
screen toward the lock jamb side and hook the
balance cord located at the top of the screen onto
the cord holder.
Note: Make sure the balance cord is located behind the
screen hanger.
D. Insert the wheel of the other screen hanger into the
notch located near the lock jamb side.

E. Insert the wheels of each screen hanger onto the
back track. Attach the balance cord into the notch on
the end of the cord / screen holder.
Note: Make sure the balance cord is located behind the
screen hanger.

Installing The Screen (Continued):
A. Slide the front cover into place and tighten the
right side screw of the four pairs of screws to
secure the
front cover.
Note: You may need to push up on the screen to seat
the hanger wheels onto the front track.
OXXO doors: Carefully install the spliced front
cover as one unit, tighten the screws in the center
of the frame first.

B. If needed, loosen the end track screws one or two
turns to help position the front cover. Move each
cord / screen holder all the way towards the lock
jamb before completely tightening the holder
screws. Slide the front cover in place and tighten the
right screw to secure. Both screws at the far left side
will need to be tightened. Make sure the looped
cord end is tucked behind the front track cover.
Note: The cord / screen holders may need to be shifted
slightly when installing the covers. The front track
cover may need to be pushed against while
tightening screws to ensure correct placement.
On OXXO doors install each front cover separately,
make sure the front track cover ends meet in the
center.

C. If needed, square the screen to the lock jamb by
adjusting the hanger screws in the top rail of the
screen. Turn the screw clockwise to raise the screen
or counter-clockwise to lower the screen.
