SECTION I: GENERAL
The following list includes important facts and information
regarding the louvered door frame assembly for your coil
cabinet and its inclusions.
1. A/C coil cabinet designed to be attached to an electric
furnace equipped with blower for A/C or Heat Pump
operation.
2. A/C coil cabinets are available heights are shown in
Table 2.
3. Frame and Grille assembly is available in an 18 inch
height and a 24 inch height.
4. Frame and Grille assembly does not have an air filter.
Air filters are placed on top of the cooling coil. Refer
to Figure 4.
NOTE: This furnace and its components listed on the A/C and
Heat Pump equipment sticker were listed in combination as a
system by ETL for the United States.

SECTION II: SAFETY

Untrained service personnel can perform basic
maintenance functions such as cleaning of exterior
surfaces and replacing the air filters. Observe all
precautions in the manuals and on the attached
labels when working on this appliance.
5. These instructions cover minimum requirements and
conform to existing national standards and safety
codes. In some instances these instructions exceed
certain local codes and ordinances, especially those
who have not kept up with changing mobile home,
modular home and HUD construction practices.
These instructions are to be followed and are the
minimum requirement for a safe installation.
INSPECTION
As soon as the coil cabinet is received, it should be
inspected for possible damage during transit. If damage
is evident, the extent of the damage should be noted on
the carrier’s freight bill. A separate request for inspection
by the carrier’s agent should be made in writing.
Also check to be sure all accessories such as heater
blend air kits are available. Installation of these
accessories should be accomplished before the coil
cabinet is set in place or the connecting of the wiring,
electric heat, ducts or piping.

The furnace must be installed in accordance with the
following codes.
Standard for the Installation of Air Conditioning
and Ventilating Systems (NFPA 90A)
Standard for the Installation of Warm Air heating
and Air Conditioning Systems (NFPA 90B)
National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)
Canadian Electrical Code, Part I (CSA C22.1)
All local codes (State, City, and Township)
NOTE: All applicable codes take precedence over any
recommendation made in these instructions.
Improper installation may create a condition where the
operation of the product could cause personal injury

Refer to this manual for assistance or for additional
information consult a qualified contractor, installer, or

SECTION III: INSTALLING THE LOUVERED
DOOR FRAME ASSEMBLY
Alcove Installation
This kit is approved for use in alcove installations with an
approved air conditioning coil. The louvered door frame
assemblies are available in 18 inch and 24 inch height.
The furnace is 33” in height making the total furnace and
filter frame assembly heights either 51 inches or 57
inches. To install the louvered door frame assembly to
the furnace follow the steps below’
Prior to installing the furnace make sure the holes are
cut into the floor for the refrigerant tubing, the electrical
wiring are in place, the thermostat wiring and the
condenser control wiring are in place.
1. Before installing the coil cabinet on the furnace, be
sure you have enough clearance to install the
furnace and the louvered door assembly.
2. Remove the louvered door frame assembly from the
box.
3. Remove the front access panel (door) by removing
the thumb screw that secures the door to the frame
assembly.
4. Lay the frame assembly flanges against the furnace
top cover and align the screw holes in the furnace
top cover with the holes in the flanges of the frame
assembly. Refer to Figure 1.
5. Install the screws through the holes provided in
order to secure the frame assembly to the top of the
furnace.
6. Slide the furnace on to the floor base and follow the
instructions in the installation manual to properly
install the furnace.
7. Follow the instructions to properly install the cooling
coil.
8. Install the coil air filters as shown in figure 4
9. Place the ½ inch flange on the bottom of the door
into the behind the flange provided on the frame
assembly.
10. Push the door towards the frame assembly, then
insert the thumb screw into the hole provided at the
top of the door and tighten the screw until the door is
securely fastened to the frame assembly.

NOTE: The installer must provide a strap that
attaches to the top of the furnace and is secured to
the alcove wood framing.

Grille assemblies only.
SECTION IV: INSTALLING THE COIL CABINET
Closet or Alcove Installation
This kit is approved for use in an alcove or closet
installations with an approved air conditioning coil. The
coil cabinets are available in 23 1/4”, 30 1/2” and 40 1/4”
height. The furnace is 33” in height making the total
furnace and coil cabinet heights are 56”, 63” and 73”. To
install the coil cabinet assembly to the furnace, follow the
steps below’
Prior to installing the furnace make sure the holes are
cut into the floor for the refrigerant tubing, the electrical
wiring are in place, the thermostat wiring and the
condenser control wiring are in place.
1. Before installing the coil cabinet on the furnace, be
sure you have enough clearance to install the

furnace and the coil cabinet. If not, you may want to
use a shorter coil cabinet or use a saw to enlarge
the opening or the area where the furnace will be
positioned.
2. Remove the parts from the box. Check for any
damage before you start assembling the cabinet.
3. Place the rear panel against the left side panel and
install the three (3) screws.
4. Place the rear panel against the right side panel and
install the three (3) screws.
5. Place the coil cabinet top cover on the side and rear
panels so the three flanges on the top cover overlap
the side and rear panels. Install the nine (9) screws.
6. Turn the coil cabinet upside down and place the 1/2
inch seal strip along the bottom flanges of the coil
cabinet back and side panels. Refer to Figure 6.
7. Set the coil cabinet on top of the furnace and secure
to the furnace top cover with screws thru the three
holes on the rear panel flange.
8. Place the coil cabinet door mounting bracket under
the left and right side coil cabinet panel flanges. The
door bracket must be placed between the coil
cabinet side panel flanges and the furnace top
cover. Refer to Figure 6.
9. Install the remaining screws thru the holes provided
in the coil cabinet flanges to secure the coil cabinet
to the furnace top cover.
10. Slide the furnace on to the floor base. Push the
furnace back until the furnace casing is against the
rear flange.
11. Slide the furnace on to the floor base and follow the
instructions in the installation manual to properly
install the furnace.
12. Follow the instructions to properly install the cooling
coil.
13. Place the coil cabinet door into the two tabs
provided on the coil cabinet door bracket.
14. Push the door towards the coil cabinet and insert the
thumb screw into the hole provided at the top of the
door and tighten the screw until the door is securely
fastened to the coil cabinet.
NOTE: The installer must provide a strap that
attaches to the top of the furnace and is secured to
the alcove or closet wood framing
