IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your iron,basic safety precautions should always be fol-
lowed:
• Read all inslruclions.
• Use iron only for ils inlended use.
• To prolecl againsl a risk of eleclric shock,do nol immerse Ihe
iron in waler or any olher liquids.
• The iron should always be
lumed
lo the lowest position before
plugging or unplugging from outlet.Never yank cord to discon-
necl from oullet,instead grasp plug and pull lo disconnect.
• Do

allow cord

touch

surface.Lel iron eool down corn-
pletely before putting away.Loop cord loosely around iron when
storing.
• Always diseonnecl iron from eleclrical oullel when filling with
waler or emplying and when not in use.
• Do

operale iron wilh a damaged cord or if Ihe iron has been
dropped or damaged.To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
disassemble the iron,take il lo a qualified servieeman for exami-
nalion and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of elee-
trie shock when Ihe iron is in use.
• Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by
or near ehildren.Do nol leave iron unattended while eonneeled or

HOW TO
FILL
WITH WATER
• We recommend the use of distilled water.
• Make sure that the steam iron is unplugged from the electrical
outle!.
• Make sure that both the Steam Burton and Temperature
Control Dial are in "OFF" position.
• Hold the iron upright ,and slide the Water Filling Cover to open it
and then fill the water through Water Filling Inlet,until the water
reach the "MAX" mark indicated on the side of the iron,and never
fill above this mark.

BEFaRE
USE
• Before using for the first time,check if the voltage rating on the
baseplate corresponds to the mains voltage in your home.
• Remove all packing materials,
c1ean
the iron surface.On first use,
there can be a Iight smell or smoke,and this is quite safe and
only for a short duration.
• FiII up distilled water into the Water Tank,up to the marking
"MAX",do not use chemically decalcified water.

o Turn the Temperature Control Dial to "MAX",and allow approximately 2 minutes
tor the iron to reaeh the desired temperature,and Indicator Light will illuminate,
keep the iron horizontally and now press the Steam BUllan to generate steam.

o The iron can be used on the dry selling with or without water in the Waler Tank,
however it is best to avoid having the tank loo full of water while dry ironing.
o When finished,turn the Temperature Control Dia

o 'OFF" position,and unplug.
Allow the iron to eool down befare eleaning the exterior of iron or storing.
o Note:During ironing,the Indicator Light may turn off again which indieates that
the iron is heating up lo maintain the proper ternperature.

STORE

After
using
,lift
the
iron
with
the
filling
hole
downwards
to
empty
the
remaining
water
from
the
Water
Tank
.
•
Plug
it in,and
set
the
Temperature
Control
Dial
to
"MAX"
for
1-2
minutes
to
evaporate
the remaining
water
,and
then
unplug
the
iron
and let it eool do
wn
before stor
ing
it.

carefully befare using it.
NOTE:
• The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
• V\lhen placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is
placed is stable.
• The iron must not be left unattended
while it is connected to the supply mains.
• The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before the water reservoir is filled
wit
h water (for steam irons and irons incerporating means for spraying water).
• The filling aperture must not be opened during use. Instructions for the safe refilling
of the water reservoir shall be given (fer pressurized stea m irons).
• The iron is not to be used
if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of da
mage
or
