thomann JHS Series User manual

  • Hello! I've reviewed the user manual for the JHS 3 Series Screamer. This document describes a modified Tube Screamer pedal with enhanced features like more clean headroom and versatile controls. I know how to operate it, power requirements and the meaning of the controls. Feel free to ask me any questions you have.
  • What does the VOLUME control do?
What does the TONE control do?
What does the DRIVE control do?
What does the +/- toggle switch do?
What kind of power supply does the pedal require?
CONTROLS
VOLUME - Controls the overall volume of the pedal. Left is less, right is more. Tons of volume on tap.
TONE - Controls the overall brightness of the tone. Left is darker, right is brighter.
DRIVE - Controls the amount of drive/gain. Left is less, right is more.
+/- - Toggle changes the clipping. Up is asymmetrical clipping (which is the strong mod clipping).
Down is symmetrical clipping (stock TS9 TS808 style).
JACKS
INPUT - 1/4” jack on the right side of the pedal.
OUTPUT - 1/4” jack on the left side of the pedal.
POWER - Requires 9V DC negative center power and consumes 12mA. Do not use more than 9V DC.
You will void your warranty.
SCREAMER
The 3-Series Screamer is the beloved JHS Tube Screamer “Strong Mod”, but in a
brand-new $99 pedal. This pedal represents years of Josh playing around with the
legendary Tube Screamer circuit and wanting to oer those changes in an aordable
package. You will find more clean headroom, better usability as a boost, more
versatile drive and tone controls as well as a more pleasing frequency response. This
may be the most well-balanced Tube Screamer on earth, but that’s for you to decide.
