INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR VYM27 SERVICE KIT
PART NO. 125345-01
This service kit is intended for the sole purpose
of replacing VYM27 three piece ber log set
No. 104676-01 with VYM27/FVFM27 ve piece
ber log set No. 122582-01.
This kit includes the following items:
Burner 122294-01 1
Log Set 122582-01 1
Instruction Sheet 125346-01 1
Tools needed to complete the installation
of this kit:
5/16'' Nut Driver or Wrench
Soap water solution or other leak
detector.
BURNER REMOVAL AND
INSTALLATION
1. Turn off the gas to your log set by shut-
ting off the gas equipment shutoff valve
and turning the gas log set control
valve off.
2. Wait 30 minutes to allow the gas log set
to cool before attempting to proceed with
the next step.
3. Remove the old logs from the log set.
4. Locate the pilot shown in Figure 1 below.
Remove the two nuts holding the pilot to
the burner. Keep the nuts for reinstalla-
tion of the pilot to the new burner.
5. Gently slide the pilot from the burner tak-
ing care not to bend the small aluminum
gas pilot line.

7. Lift the burner off the sheet metal base.
Be carefull not to bend the gas supply
tube still inside the burner.
8. Locate the end of the burner with 3/8''
aluminum gas supply tube. A spring re-
taining clip holds the gas supply tube to
the inlet of the burner. Pinch the clip and
slide the clip out of the small slots in the
burner (see Figure 3).
6. Remove the three screws that secure
the burner to the sheet metal base see
Figure 2.
9. Remove the burner from the gas supply
tube.
10. Install the new burner by reversing steps
4 through 9.

INSTALLING LOGS
WARNING: Failure to position
the parts in accordance with these
diagrams or failure to use only
parts specically approved with
this heater may result in property
damage or personal injury.
CAUTION: After installa-
tion and periodically thereafter,
check to ensure that no ame
comes in contact with any log.
With the heater set to High, check
to see if ames contact any log. If
so, reposition logs according to
the log installation instructions
in this manual. Flames contact-
ing logs will create soot.
It is very important to install the logs exactly
as instructed. Do not modify logs. Only use
logs supplied.
1. Place front log (#1) and rear log (#2) on
grate to t as shown in Figure 4.

3. Place top log (#4) and top right log (#5)
as shown in Figure 6.

go into hole with
same shape
(round vs. square)
4. Make sure open areas of logs line up
with burner ports (see Figure 7). Logs
will t securely on the burner base.
IMPORTANT: Make sure logs does not
cover any burner ports.

2. Place center insert log (#3) as shown
in Figure 5. Log should rest on the two
metal brackets welded to the inside of the
burner and on the non-ported end of the
burner next to the gas supply tube.

LEAK TESTING
WARNING: Test all gas piping
and connections, internal and
external to unit, for leaks after
installing or servicing. Correct
all leaks at once.
WARNING: Never use an
open ame to check for a leak.
Apply a noncorrosive leak detec-
tion uid to all joints. Bubbles
forming show a leak. Correct all
leaks at once.
